With just a few days to go before the next Doctor Who Christmas episode (Last Christmas) airs there is now a rumor going around that the premiere title for the next series of the hit show will be called......The Magician’s Apprentice which will be writted by the show's current producer and lead writer Steven Moffat the ninth series of the show is due to start filming in just a few weeks for a late 2015 air date.

@superdude001 i know the news was picked up by digital spy but the news has not been confirmed yet but i hope that is the official title because it's a good name

This isn't a rumour. Pretty sure it came from Steven Moffat at the Last Christmas screening. Radio Times and a bunch of other reliable sites are reporting it as confirmed so it's pretty obviously official.

@jaffi nothing about the title was said by steven both last year and this year so until the bbc confirm it it is just a rumor

Interesting how Series 8 is "awful" to some people here when it's the only run of the revived series in which I haven't disliked a single episode and was considered a return to form by most.

Series 7 is the one you should be complaining about.

My biggest complaint about 7 and 8 is Clara, she's a horrible and annoying companion that has been crammed down our throats. I haven't kept up on 8 because of her...

Clara with Danny was too different from the Impossible Girl.
Every episode she seemed to have one foot out the door.
Doctor should say "in or Out" and get on with the adventures.
