As you may recall, Stephen Amell made his wrestling debut at
WWE SummerSlam a number of years ago. Since then, Cody Rhodes has left the company and hit the independent wrestling scene in a huge way, and Amell has followed him there (he competed in his first singles match at
All In last year).
Now, with All Elite Wrestling set to launch on TNT this October, Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and billionaire owner Tony Khan have all endorsed Amell as a wrestler who they would welcome to the newly launched company with open arms once
Arrow concludes after season eight.
"Well, I think as far as the group, we can say Stephen's a wrestler," Rhodes said. "He's technically, he was technically in the Bullet Club somehow. Stephen is a wrestler, so we would, I think we'd absolutely, when the time comes, if Stephen needs a home as a wrestler, ever wants to get back in the ring, we're ready for it. We've got ideas in case he wants to show up. And he's watched every second of what we've done and commented on it so far. So I just wait for the day."
"Tell him, just tell him that he'll always have a home with AEW," Rhodes added.
We know that Amell is planning to move to Los Angeles once
Arrow ends so his daughter can go to school there, and working once a week as a wrestler would give him a lot more time with them than starring in another TV series.
