Entertainment Weekly has revealed that as well as introducing Cluemaster in this Sunday's episode of Batwoman, The CW series will also feature his daughter, Stephanie Brown.
In the comic books, the character has gone by many names and is the only hero to have served as both Batgirl and Robin. Later, she'd take on the Spoiler moniker, and it's actually pretty surprising that it's taken this long for the hero to make her live-action debut. In The CWVerse, Stephanie will be played by Morgan Kohan (When Hope Calls).
She won't be suiting up in this episode, but Batwoman showrunner Caroline Dries has teased a possible future for the character.
"We'd love to bring them back in season 3, as they are rich, interesting characters," she said of Stephanie and Cluemaster, "and from the looks of things, Luke and Stephanie have some unresolved business!"
Sunday's episode will also see Alice at the mercy of Black Mask, and it sounds like something big is being planned for the villain. "Episode 13 is going to [contain] one of our most gruesome sequences we've seen on the show, and we've seen quite a few. Even just in prep, I was like, 'I can't even look at the prep pictures.' So that will be fun to watch and to watch Alice go through. But it will lead to one of the biggest revelations on our show thus far."
