The first season of Krypton will only run for ten episodes but the signs are all pointing to it expanding the cosmic side of the DC Universe on the small screen in a significant way. That was hinted at by both David Goyer and Geoff Johns at the Television Critics Association winter press tour yesterday when they suggested that both the Green Lantern Corps and Omega Men could show down the line.
"The deal with the show is it’s kind of this gateway into the DC science fiction universe," Goyer explained. "Because also the Phantom Zone figures into this show, it means we can delve into other times and planets eventually." That opens the door to a lot of different storytelling possibilities.
"Any of these characters could eventually show up," Johns added before Goyer piped in with, "Even the inclusion of Adam Strange, that should tip you off that it’s not just going to be on Krypton."
Krypton has the potential to be a great series given the talent involved and regardless of whether or not the characters above make an appearance, it's feasible that we could see a variety of different heroes and villains appear in the series. Could Superman himself one day show up to visit his home planet? We'll have to wait and see but be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
