DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Expands 'Hawkman' Mythos With Latest Casting Addition
The cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow continues to expand, this time with a character who doesn't hail from the comics, but who will play a major role in telling the story of Hawkman and Hawkgirl both in Arrow AND the spinoff series. Hit the jump for details...
ComicBook.com reveals that Peter Francis James (Law & Order, The Losers) has joined the cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow in what sounds like a key role as Dr. Aldus Boardman. The character doesn't hail from the comic books, and will first appear in the Arrow crossover episode which is expected to revolve around the introduction of Hawkman and Hawkgirl and set up the spinoff.
According to the official description, Boardman is a Classics professor at St. Roch University, who has devoted his life to researching the story of Chayara (Hawkgirl) and Prince Khufu (Hawkman) and their link to Vandal Savage. Professor Boardman is our team’s only hope of finding Vandal and destroying him, so they can return home. But when the Legends learn a secret about Boardman, they insist on making him a part of their journey, only to learn the kind of sacrifice it will take to save the world. It sounds like there's going to be a twist then, and this news comes hot on the heels of Negative Woman being added to The CW series. What do you guys think about this news?
