Warner Bros. Should Rescue Lucifer One Way or Another

Warner Bros. Should Rescue Lucifer One Way or Another

Sadly, Lucifer is no more due to its cancellation on Fox. However, with the many fans the show has garnered over three seasons, Warner Bros. should do whatever it takes to get it back on the air.

Fans of Lucifer are no doubt angry today after it was revealed by Fox that the show won’t get a fourth season. Personally, I do believe it’s one of the better shows on television, but the third season dragged along for too long.

But with the first two seasons being a hit, it’s quite surprising Fox decided to walk away from the project. Luckily, Gotham is still moving forward and is set for a huge makeover in Season 5.

The big question right now is that whether or not Warner Bros. is interested in bringing the show to a different network or end it forever. Usually, we’d look to The CW to come in as a knight in shining armor, but we doubt the network has any space for Lucifer at this time.

TNT could be a good partner since the DC-related live-action series, Titan, was once set to air there. It would all boil down to whether or not TNT wants a cop TV series where the devil is the main character.

If TNT doesn’t want to play ball, then there’s always the chance for Warner Bros. to throw Lucifer at its newly announced streaming service known as DC Universe. The company announced not too long ago that a live-action Doom Patrol series is in the work for the platform, and no doubt more are needed to make it a viable place for fans to spend their money.

From my point of view, it would make perfect sense for Warner Bros. to allow Lucifer to strive on DC Universe since it already has a loyal following. A few changes here and there and Lucifer could transform into a spending series, one that could go on for years to come.

If not, then we’ll certainly miss the conversations between Lucifer and Chloe and what could have been due to the ending scene. That ending alone should have warranted a rise of a fourth season.

For now, the best thing we can do is wait.

First off, this is an editorial (barely), not news. Second, it's "one way or ANOTHER". Third, this is going to get deleted soon so it probably doesn't matter much either way.
