Romance Blossoms For Alex And Maggie In First Official Images From Next Week's SUPERGIRL

The CW has released the first images from next week's episode of Supergirl, and in them we see Alex Danvers and Maggie Sawyer grow close while the Girl of Steel finds herself held captive by Cadmus.

The CW has been praised for the way the relationship between Alex Danvers and Maggie Sawyer has so far been handled in season two of Supergirl, and in these new images, we get a new look at them both seemingly discussing their budding romance. Even more interesting than that though is the fact that both the Girl of Steel and Mon-El have somehow fallen into the clutches of the villainous Cadmus.

Based on the way we see James and Winn conspiring, chances are that it will be Guardian who has to bail them out, and given Supergirl's feelings on vigilantes, that should be fun to see play out! Sadly, there's no sign of Cyborg Superman here, though we may have already caught a glimpse of that villain in action in the promo The CW released last night. You can check that out by clicking right here.

IT’S SUPERGIRL VS. CYBORG SUPERMAN — While Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) tries to clear his name after being accused of a murder committed by another vigilante, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) heads out on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) who has been captured by CADMUS. While fighting to free Mon-El, Supergirl comes face to face with Cyborg Superman. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Robert Rovner & Paula Yoo.

So is Alex a lesbian or bi? And why is she coming out now. I mean why couldn't she have just been LGBT at the very start? This isn't Days of Our Lives or The O.C. Also I did hear someone from one of the DC shows was coming out so I guess it's Alex. I guess there's enough reason to though I thought there was a tiny bit of something between her and Maxwell Lord before it was "revealed" he was a bad guy, not to mention J'onn but I guess I read them wrong?

This was so brave of her... ten years ago.

The only problem I have when shows do things like this now is it's safe to do in today's political climate. These kinds of stories should have told when homosexuality was so still (irrationally) unacceptable in western society. This has less to do with telling a story about tolerance/acceptance and more to do with ratings. A real eye roller for me.

I'm not sure if that makes sense...

TOTALLY DISGUSTING!

Children can't watch this!

In this PC world even cherished superheroes are no longer characters we can look up to!

They now are associated with behavior that animals don't even do!

DC's brand and product is becoming more and more degraded and degrading!

The comic book legends would be outraged at such despicable gutter material!
