SUPERGIRL: Here's Your First Look At The Show's Second Worldkiller, Purity

The Girl of Steel currently has her hands full with Reign but she's not the only "Worldkiller" on Earth and in this new look at tonight's episode of The CW series, we see the hero cross paths with Purity.

Reign has been tearing through National City but she's not alone. Following the big reveal that she's not the only Worldkiller on Earth, the Girl of Steel has been on the hunt for the rest of them and she's going to tussle with Purity for the first time in tonight's episode of Supergirl! As you can see below, things don't go well when she comes face to face with her but what else is on the cards tonight?

"This an exciting episode where we see Supergirl face off with the second Worldkiller, Purity, played brilliantly by Krys Marshall," Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner explain. "Purity is not what anyone expects and their showdown is full of surprises." As a result, it sounds like Kara may end up finding out some key clues about how she can defeat Reign when they meet again.

Apparently, we'll see another huge battle between Supergirl and Reign on the February 5th episode but the show will then go on hiatus for nine weeks with Legends of Tomorrow taking its timeslot.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Right? Also, is anyone under the impression that Superman is just sitting back saying "Oh, Kara's got this." The second any real cousin found out what happened, they would have been there in a second, oh and maybe call and ask for his help? So dumb.

@RocknRolla - Yeah, this just looks bad from the photo.

With regards to Superman, yeah that doesn't make any sense. I mean, when the Daxomites arrives in season 2 he goes to confront them. No idea why he's nowhere to be seen or heard of right now.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Last time he left Metropolis and was patrolling National City in S2 premiere another Metallo attacked a common park named after him and many people got hurt. No wonder he doesn't come oftenly after that. That is the in-story reasoning.

@NinnesMBC - Yeah but he showed up at the end of Season 2 as well.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Yes because Daxam launched an all out worldwide invasion starting on National City so obviously he needed to be there for help. Things haven't yet escalated that far here.

@NinnesMBC - Umm, Supergirl got her ass handed to her on live television, a Fortress of Evil has been discovered, and the Worldkiller(s) are wreaking havoc. Makes no sense for Superman not to be there, or for a passing mention of "Clark asked if we wanted his help but we said we have it handled for now."

@RocknRolla - My comment was deleted. Justice League didn't make Superman anyone's [female dog]. Superman made Steppenwolf his [female dog].

How much did that red sweater cost, as a hit to the production budget? $29 from Target?

I really do wished they could borrow some budget tips from The Flash and Legends and try to give them a close look to their comic book parts. We're gonna have to wait to see if Purity gets her own suit like Reign, which eventually ended up working.

Plus actual footage and context for that scene too.

Sometimes I really hate this show. I mean, why doesn't Supergirl fly to Metropolis to help Superman every once in a while? Metropolis has its world dominating alien problems and other super villain issues that obviously Superman and his allies cannot take care of themselves. Kara should fly over there every chance she gets and hold Clark/Superman's hand and help him solve his problems.
