Well, it looks like the Man Of Steel will appear to help out his cousin after all ! In a new Canadian promo for next week's episode of Supergirl, you can clearly see Superman swoop in and save Supergirl from Reactron. Whether or not we will see his face or how big a part he will play in the episode is currently unclear. We also have no idea who will be playing him, if he does play a larger role in the episode.

Superman has previously made a quick cameo in the pilot for the show, and Clark Kent (along with Lois Lane) was mentioned in the show's 2nd episode. However, with the infamous DC embargo on Batman and Superman that has haunted The Flash and Arrow for so long, it is unlikely that we will see much of the Man Of Steel in Supergirl.

"Fight or Flight" - Supergirl's powers are tested when Reactron, one of Superman's formidable enemies, arrives in National City and targets the young hero. Also, Cat plans to run an exposé on Supergirl, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Nov. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Peter Facinelli guest stars as tech entrepreneur Maxwell Lord.

Some times you need a helping hand of steel.

Ooh I'm excited for Superman even though they'll probably only show him as blurry.

I wonder if they'll actually have him say anything. It would be kind of awkward if he flew in, helped her, and then just flew off without saying a single word. And good luck with the front page, I gave you a thumbs up.

This is awesome news can't wait. I hope we see Superman in full at some point. Matt Bomer or Josh Hartnett would be my choice for the role Supergirl has been great too

Given the camera angle and the blurry point of view, my guess is that Supergirl is really battered by Reactron and passes out and then wakes up in the DEO facilities with Alex and Henshaw (obviously, her cousin leaves her there), so Superman doesn't need to say anything… or show more of him.

…or maybe she's picked up by them.

I'm not sure if Superman knows about the DEO.

this show is really corny, but that's what I lke about it, and they seem to have a good grasp of the character. there's a line in the second episode that sums up Supergirl (and Superman for that matter) pretty well: "what can I do to help?". she's not a messiah or a link between two cultures, she's just here to help with the sh*t we can't deal with.

I love this show, but it's basically a rip-off of The Flash.

I really like this show and I see the potential for it to get better and better with each season. Yes it has the same team formula as the flash and arrow who both got it from Smallville. And it still works. Once it really gets going and haters start watching (something they always do eventually) it's going to be even more fun!

She's not the hero he is. That's the point. Part of Kara's journey has ALWAYS been about trying to escape her more famous cousin's shadow and establishing her own identity, while living up to the giant "S" on her chest and what it represents. That "running toward the camera, while holding your shirt open" shit was a little overdone, in my opinion, however.

You mean like this?

lol.

@loki668

Was it just me, or did your mind go to the gutter during that scene? lol. I mean, it's a woman opening her shirt and I'm a man.
