The CW Renews Four DC TV Shows For 2017 As SUPERNATURAL Returns For A Thirteenth Season

Good news today as The CW has announced that Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl will all return this Fall for new episodes in the 2017 - 2018 season, for season six, season four, season three, and season three, respectively. Arrow was originally envisioned as a five season show, but there's been talk of it returning for a while now sans flashbacks, so that's not a huge surprise.

Legends, on the other hand, has struggled in terms of ratings, but the boost it received from the "Invasion!" crossover clearly helped. So, what else is going to be coming back to the network?

Well, The CW's longest running series Supernatural is returning for season thirteen, while Jane the Virgin is coming back for its fourth year and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is back for a third. Frequency and No Tomorrow aren't mentioned here, and neither are
midseason show like iZombie and The 100.

"Over the past several seasons, The CW has built a schedule of proven performers, from our lineup of DC superheroes, to critically acclaimed comedies, to sci-fi dramas," said network president Mark Pedowitz in a statement. "Early pickups of these seven series now allow our producers to plan ahead for next season, and gives us a solid base to build on for next season, with original scripted series to roll out all year long." Which of these shows are you guys most excited to see return this Fall?

@SuperCat - Supernatural is the reason we will never have a Constantine show on the CW. It's covered all ground.

@Battabing - Guess you're right. They pretty much have covered everything. Seems like they would be running out of material by now.

Glad all DCTV shows are being renewed even the Batman wannabe show Arrow.
On another note I hope Frequency is renewed despite a few plot holes I do enjoy that show. It's my late night morning go to show when I can't sleep.

I think I stopped watching "Supernatural" after the 3rd season.

They should cancel Supernatural and replace it with a Hellblazer show, starring Matt Ryan.

Then it would be DC shows all week.

@Darkknight2149 - The CW will also resurrect DC’s “Constantine” as an animated series starring the voice of Matt Ryan on digital outlet CW Seed, produced by Greg Berlanti.

I feel like Arrow should capture the creators' vision of a five season run.
