Sandra Bullock is Afraid of the Watchmen

Twentieth Century Fox pushes back the release of Bullock’s latest film for fear of losing younger girl viewers to Watchmen.

Now that the legal fiasco surrounding Warner Bros.’ Watchmen has cleared up, Twentieth Century Fox, which won a stake in the release, has decided to maximize it’s share of the profits from the film by removing any potential competition coming out of its studio. Sandra Bullock’s latest romantic comedy, All About Steve, was originally slated for a March 6 release, the same day Watchmen will debut, but has now been pushed back to an undetermined fall release date.

Typically, when a potentially blockbuster action film debuts, competing studios will release films that target the opposite demographic. In this case, Twentieth Century Fox is afraid that the debut of Watchmen would hurt the release of About Steve, as it has scored high in the young female target group, a sector of the movie-going audience that romantic comedies thrive on.

Watchmen is based on the award-winning DC Comics graphic novel and is directed by Zack Snyder (300). Billy Crudup stars as Dr. Manhattan, with Malin Akerman and Carla Gugino as Silk Spectre, Matthew Goode as Ozymandias, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian, Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach, Stephn McHattie as Nite Owl and Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl.

All About Steve is directed by Phil Trail (Kath & Kim) and stars Sandra Bullock and Thomas Haden Church.

First of all, "All about Steve" doesn't even look that good. I'm more excited about her other movie "The Proposal" with Ryan Reynolds! Now THAT looks FUNNY!!!!!!

Shaman, it also doesn't help Sandra's cause that she hasn't been funny (or had a commercially successful film) in YEARS!

Wasn't her last film Miss Congeniality 2 or something. And didn't she say she wasn't going to do any more romantic comedy's. Anyway i'm not looking forward to any of her movies :P.

her old movies are ok
and ive always had a weird attraction to her, like the geeky girl at the library that is kinda hot but still iffy

i have not heard of either of these two movies coming out but i am pretty sure anything opening with watchmen is going to suffer, which is sad becuase some really good movie come out where even better movies OR stupid commercial garbage that appeals to prostitotes comes out at the same time and they suffer dramaticly.

You guys have to apple/tailor these movies. All about Steve sucks. She's just clumsy and has no charm what so ever.

But on the other hand, if you guys are into romantic comedies at all, you really have to check out "The Proposal". She's the cold hearted bitch boss of Ryan Reynolds and she is smokin hot!!! Then she announces Ryan that they're getting married just so she can keep her job in the states because she's an illegal alien from Canada. Not only does it seem HILLARIOUS, but did i already mention that she was SMOKIN hot!!!

LOL at Rorschach, she may not be the most commercially entertaining actress, but like Rorschach says, when you see her it's like.. "I'd do it, easy" depending on the role of course.

Yeah, that pic is like 10-12 years old though. Not saying I still wouldn't wiffle ball bat it, I just think her days of being relevant are long gone. She'd be funny... if she was falling down a flight of stairs.

Well im really not into Rom Coms..not because im a cold hearted bastard that hates to laugh..but because 9 times out of 10 the Hollywood rom com is neither romantic or funny in any way! Rather its schmaltzy and predictable...there are a few exceptions..Jerry Maguire was bearable i guess..aside from that "you complete me" shite. And more recently Forgetting Sarah Marshall made me laugh and Mila Kunis made me feel...romantic!..it just seems like every time you turn around theres a "new romantic comedy with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston..and the gimmick in this one is..theres a dog too!"

I don't think she has anything to worry about. "All about Steve" is going to rock much more than "Watchmen" and it's all we're going to be talking about on here even though it's not a comic book movie!

Sorry! A bag of drowned puppies! Good one.

Boo Hoo! So no one will see your next film Sandra? Guess what, it's got nothing to do with Watchmen, it's because the film sounds sh*t! Don't be scared though, you've already been paid!
