Rumors relating to Charlie Cox's potential return as Matt Murdock have been doing the rounds since Netflix's Daredevil was cancelled after three seasons, but recent reports have indicated that it may soon become a reality.
Not only is Cox expected to reprise the role for the currently shooting Spider-Man 3, but Kevin Feige himself has seemingly hinted that the Man Without Fear could show up in the Disney+ She-Hulk series.
Of course, until we get official word, we have no way of knowing for sure what's in store for the Devil of Hell's Kitchen, and Feige wasn't about to let any cats out of any bags during an interview with Collider. When asked about the chances of Cox returning, the Marvel President chose his words as carefully as ever, but his reaction to the question may speak volumes!
"Is there any chance that Charlie Cox could be back as Daredevil or do you consider what happened with Netflix almost like an alternate universe?"
FEIGE: "I look at anything that's happened before, whether it's our movies, whether it's Marvel entertainment TV series, in particular, obviously the comics, video games, cartoons, all of it is available as inspiration for the future of Marvel. That's the way that comics have worked for many years. So, we'll see."
"I think a lot of people really loved Charlie in that role and are hopeful that he can find a way back."
"He wouldn’t say anything. Just looked at me and smiled."
Feige is notorious for his non-answers, but his response was interesting. If Marvel Studios is planning to reintroduce Daredevil, they have a perfect opportunity to do so with the (supposed) Multiverse spanning Spider-Man 3 and the courtroom-based She-Hulk.
What do you guys make of Feige's comments? Do you think we'll see Cox back in the Daredevil suit again at some point?
