This past Wednesday's episode of Loki, "Journey into Mystery," featured a brief appearance from Throg (Thor as a frog, for those who may need an explanation), and director Kate Herron has now revealed that Chris Hemsworth himself actually provided the voice for the awesome amphibian Avenger.
"Throg, obviously, getting him in [was great]. And we recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way," Herron confirmed while being interviewed on the For All Nerds podcast. "We recorded him for that, that’s new recording. That’s a whole new recording, not recycled, he recorded that!"
Throg didn't actually have any decipherable lines of dialogue, but he did let out a little yelp as he attempted to escape his jar to reach Mjolnir, but it's still hilarious to think that the Thor: Love and Thunder star was enlisted for such a seemingly inconsequential cameo.
While Throg's appearance was almost certainly meant as little more than an Easter Egg for comic book fans, many viewers are now anxious to see more of the little blighter, so if Loki does return for a second season - and there's a decent chance that it will - we might get to see the further adventures of the Frog of Thunder.
