LOKI Season Finale Stills Highlight Jonathan Majors' Memorable MCU Debut As "He Who Remains"

Marvel Studios has shared one final batch of stills from last week's season finale of Loki, with the vast majority putting the spotlight on Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror Variant, He Who Remains...

Heading into the final episode of Loki, we were all a little concerned that the God of Mischief could end up facing a Variant of himself or, God forbid, a villainous Miss Minutes. While Loki and Sylvie did come face to...clock...with the TVA's mascot, that was just for an expertly handled jump scare and a little exposition, and we'd soon learn that it was Kang the Conqueror pulling the strings.

Well, sort of.

"He Who Remains" was, in fact, a Kang Variant who managed to create a single timeline to keep his villainous alternate selves at bay. Following his death, the Multiverse has been reborn and, as Jonathan Majors' Immortus-like baddie explained, if we thought he was bad...the worst is yet to come!

In this batch of stills from the season finale of Loki, Kang definitely receives most of the spotlight, and to say fans are now beyond excited to see what he brings to the role would be an understatement. We also get to see both the original and alternative universe versions of Mobius and Hunter B-15 after Loki found himself lost in a timeline where the TVA is ruled over by Kang.

Things are only going to get crazier from here, and with Kang being set up as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's new lead villain, we'll soon see just how bad things can get when the Conqueror is unleashed.

@Havenless - agree. i mean it's been not even a week since finale. Ror at least tried cover it up by posting Ant-Man 3 article (that one with BossLogic fanart), not Loki related one.

Love the quirky performance but my boy was missing his dope hat. Strange that they didn't just call him Immortus, He Who Remains is a little Lovecraftian of him, but I guess it suits the actors previous roll.

@Magus - The director implied he’s not the Immortus version.

@Magus - I guess because this wasn't really Immortus. Probably a version of him, but not THE version

Its so incredible to see a relatively young black man (he's only 31, to my surprise) given so much power/reverence within a larger story like this.

And I just noticed Marvel and DC's big blue time god's are both black, go figure.

I was not a fan of Majors' Kang, but I appreciate the actor and that so many people enjoyed it.

I just hope Marvel or Disney doesn't translate the popularity of this portrayal as "MCU Kang is now a super-goofy villain with lots of quirks and pop culture references."

They did the same thing to Thor and I'm still not used to it.

@generictheeric - he wasn’t Kang he was He Who Remains. The Kang from the comics will be drastically different than the guy who curated the main timeline in a castle in limbo for centuries, in isolation. Majors killed it

What delightfully obscure performance from Majors.
