One of the most exciting things about the newest Loki trailer that recently dropped alongside all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe bombshells Kevin Feige released was seeing Owen Wilson's transformation and character. While the actor is usually seen with his signature hairstyle and subtle humor, Loki seems to be allowing Owen to express his acting chops differently and get into character so much that many casual viewers were unaware that it was him.
We recently spoke with Jane Seymour about her new film, The War with Grandpa, an adaptation of a novel, and saw Robert De Niro as the grandfather in a prank war with a child after reluctantly taking over his space. While she talked about De Niro a lot, she also spoke about her other co-stars, especially Christopher Walken, which led her to keep bringing up Wedding Crashers.
Since she was so excited to talk about the hit comedy, we asked her a bit about what Owen Wilson was like to work with before joining the MCU and took on his new look. We didn't expect that she would go into the detail she did, and she told us about the behind-the-scenes shenanigans that went on during the filming and how her funniest interactions with the actor were never seen and cut from the film. She told us it was her absolute funniest memory working with him, so check out what she has to say about the Loki star below!
"Okay, it's a perfect one. The obvious one is that of all the women in the film, and I am the only one with her own body doing her own nudity. Everybody else got a body double, like what? And they used to tease me about this. Vince used to say to Owen, who was getting nervous, "are you ready to see more of Seymour?" And I went like, "Vince, that's a really great joke, no one's ever said that before." Anyway, they closed the set off on the day, so it was just Owen and myself, and there was a curtain, and the camera was set up, obviously. And pretty much, no one was set, just me and Owen. And we did the scene, and I actually was wearing pasties or something so I wouldn't completely be as completely naked as I would have been, but I was pretty much topless there.
And Owen had to put his hands on my breasts. So the first time he did it, he did it, and his fingers were tightly shut, and they went "cut!" And then Dobkin, the director, came up and said, "Oh, and that was great. That was really great. Great, great, great, great. But could you relax your fingers a little bit?" And he looked up at me with those little doe eyes that Owen does. And I said, "Owen, it's okay. If it was Jane, it might be an issue, but this is not Jane right now. This is Kitty Cat. Kitty Cat just asked you to do it, okay?"
So the second time he did the hands, and then he went, "Oh, I've got to listen to them." So he opened them up, then the director would cut and say, Oh, amazing! Great! We love how you open your hands up, but could you relax them a little bit? Maybe they could move a bit?" Three or four takes in, and I'm dying. Cause I'm playing with the scene, and I am laughing at how embarrassed and funny it is about doing it. And I wish that that scene of the director telling Owen how to do it and me telling him not to worry, I always felt that should have been in the movie because it was quite different, but it was funny in its own right."

Sixth-grader Peter (Oakes Fegley) is pretty much your average kid—he likes gaming, hanging with his friends and his beloved pair of Air Jordans. But when his recently widowed grandfather Ed (Robert De Niro) moves in with Peter’s family, the boy is forced to give up his most prized possession of all, his bedroom. Unwilling to let such an injustice stand, Peter devises a series of increasingly elaborate pranks to drive out the interloper, but Grandpa Ed won’t go without a fight. Soon, the friendly combatants are engaged in an all-out war with side-splitting consequences.
Based on the award-winning book by Robert Kimmel Smith, The War with Grandpa is a hilarious family comedy featuring an all-star supporting cast: Christopher Walken, Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, Cheech Marin and Jane Seymour.
The War with Grandpa is now available on digital and Blu-ray, and Loki is expected to hit Disney+ in May of 2021.
