LUKE CAGE Must Defend Harlem From Two Warring Factions In This Explosive New Season 2 Trailer

The second season of Marvel's Luke Cage is set to premiere later this month, and Netflix has debuted a brand new trailer featuring plenty of action-packed footage. This time, the focus is on the bad guys.

Netflix has just debuted a new trailer for the second season of Marvel's Luke Cage, and it gives us a much better idea of what to expect from the plot of Power Man's sophomore solo outing.

It seems Bushmaster has set his sights on Mariah's turf, and that means Luke is going to find himself caught in the middle of a violent gang war, with his old enemy relying on Harlem's Hero to do the right thing and keep her alive.

Unfortunately, that's not going to prove easy when the new villain in town is every bit as strong - or maybe even stronger - than he is. It's a good thing, then, that Cage will have some help from Misty Knight, who's been kitted out with a new robotic arm.

Check out the new trailer along with a Misty featurette below, and let us know what you think. Luke Cage returns to Netflix on June 22.

Hope they redeem themselves after the end of Season 1. The show was great up until they killed Mahershala Ali.

Theo Rossi isn’t a believable badass. He wasn’t believable in Sons of Anarchy and he’s not believable in Luke Cage.

Seems like a good dude though.

@regularmovieguy - I wouldn't exactly call him a badass in Sons of Anarchy.

@Spock0Clock

I mean he was emotionally fragile almost to a faulty degree.

But that doesn’t mean he still struggles to carry that “macho man” swagger which is shown all the time in that show.

I hope Shades dies quickly,, what a thoroughly useless character.

@RorMachine - I can’t stand his sunglasses gimmick. Wearing sunglasses all the time, even in the middle of the night, is something a 9 year old would think is cool. And he always does that thing where he dramatically takes them off when he tries to say something badass. It’s really cringey.

@RorMachine - I highly disagree. What intrigues me is his relationship (or whatever you want to call it) with Black Mariah.

I like that promo with Misty's arm too. Seems like they're covering up how she lost her real arm.

This was a pretty good trailer.

And I've got agree with what some have said, Shades is a bore. They could've done better with him.

@BlackBeltJones - I liked him at first but he just got progressively boring

Well...the trailer looks better than season 1 ended up being (had to struggle to finish S1..still was a waste of time)

Season 1 was dope. Can't wait to see this. I'll attempt to pace myself but I doubt I will.

I see everyone is talking about shades, I think the guy that plays him overacts and it comes off as melodramatic.

Can't wait to see more of Luke and Danny connection.

@Forthas - You are now entering Jeff Bezos' office. He is the True Prime. The creator of Amazon and the shipper of all things overnight. The collector of discarded media properties. Prepare to meet Jeff Bezos in 3... 2... 1...

Really excited for this.

Almost seems like a "choose your poison" situation for Luke.

This season has a compelling villain, explores Mariah's backstory and ends on an intriguing note for a so-called 'Hero For Hire'. Far superior to Season 1.

Bushmaster looks to be a much better villain than Diamondback was. Diamondback was too comical.

@tugboy - yes comical...and that's why I enjoyed the character.

That trailer was pretty damn good. Looks better than most of the recent series, potentially on par with Punisher which I think is the best they've done since DD season 2.
