Yesterday, Empire debuted a pair of stunning Moon Knight covers, and the mag has now shared a new still from the upcoming Disney+ series which gives us a first look at another of Marc Spector's (Oscar Isaac) personas: Mr. Knight!

In the comics, the dapper Mr. Knight is one of the hero's more recent personalities, and is distinguishable from Moon Knight by his cape-less white suit, shirt, tie and cane combo. This is the identity the vigilante usually uses to converse with his psychiatrist and any civilians he may have dealings with.

Check out the new image at the link below.

We also have quotes from Empire's interview with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, and it sounds like Moon Knight is going to be the MCU's most violent project yet.

“He’s brutal,” Feige says of the titular character. “It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”

The show has Cairo 678 director Mohamed Diab behind the camera, and we found out last year that the Disney+ series has also enlisted Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead (The Endless, Synchronic) to helm additional episodes. Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy; The Exorcist) will serve as showrunner, and is leading the show's writing team.

Plot details are still under wraps, but the small-screen adaptation is expected to stick pretty close to the basic premise of the comic, with Marc Spector, a highly skilled mercenary who has numerous alter-egos, channelling the power of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu to fight crime in LA.

A recent synopsis stated that "the action-adventure features a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters who appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography."

Terrible choice including that suit in this season. As I've said before, this is the equivalent of starting a new hulk franchise with him already as smart hulk.

@Origame - Hi, sorry to say this - but can you just wait to watch the show like the rest of us please, before believing your opinion is far greatly superior to those of established and successful movie (and now TV) producers such as Kevin Feige.

@Origame - Really? I haven't read any of the series involving Mr. Knight, but the comments on here when the trailer dropped were full of people asking for this very thing. Based on what you're saying however, they're ramping things up far too quickly.

@Origame - not really. This character suffers from a multiple personality disorder. It would make every bit of sense that his superhero alter ego would as well.

@Origame - Yeah, the personality of Mr. Knight is supposed to be developed after years of crime fighting

@Se4M4NSt4ine - well thanks for the apology before this, but this is a pretty narrow mindset saying I can't voice my opinion on what I'm saying, simply because I don't like what I'm seeing. Technically I could say the same for people excited to see it.

@TheAstoundingMan - it's hard to say since much of of the series yet. But either mr knight is just gonna be another personality, or they are ramping things up too quickly and squeezing all that development into this season.

@HydraB0b - hulk also has multiple personalities, but smart hulk wasn't a thing for years into his time as a superhero because it's based on development. Same with Mr knight.

@m1doriya - exactly.

@Origame - not really, because your opinion is based on what you’ve read from another medium of the character (comic book) this is live action, and a Tv show.

Therefore making it something completely separate and new, giving it freedom of choice on how they use or handle the character. That’s what people are excited about, because they’re looking forward to seeing their beloved comic book character make the transition to big screen.

Your comment is criticising how they do that, without having seen it in the first place.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - this comic is what the character is based on. It's the whole reason why we have a superhero based on ancient Egypt with multiple personalities in the first place.

If the comics are doing something objectively better then I'd say that's a problem. And yes, doing something right away that the comics spent years building towards is definitely something I'd say is a problem (unless you're suggesting the mcu could've just started off at endgame).
Origame
Origame - 2/12/2022, 8:22 AM
@marvel72 - and that's what's terrible about it. The mcu of all people should understand the value of building to big character moments like this.

@Se4M4NSt4ine - I love how Origame is upset about how he isn’t allowed to voice his opinion but will jump all over someone else when it comes to their opinions in other feeds. Classic hypocrite.

@LandGrizzle - when have I ever said someone can't voice their opinions? If you're gonna call me out, back it up.
