POWERS Casts Susan Heyward As 'Deena Pilgrim'
The small screen adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' comic book series will air exclusively on The Playstation Network, and now we have our female lead in The Following's Susan Heyward. A couple of supporting roles have been filled too, find out which ones after the jump.
We've known that Brian Michael Bendis' Powers was coming to the PlayStation Network for a while, and now we finally have our first casting announcement. According to Deadline, Susan Heyward (The Following) will play Deena Pilgrim; who's described as "equal parts beauty and sarcasm, a wunderkind detective with edgy style". In the comics she partners up with Christian Walker -- who used to be a Power himself -- but no word on who'll be playing him yet. We do have a couple of supporting roles though: Adam Godley (Breaking Bad) will play Captain Cross, head of the Powers division of the police department, and Max Fowler (The Killing) will play the son of Walker’s deceased partner, who was murdered by a power. Bendis, Oeming and Michael Dinner will executive produce the show, with Huston and Remi Aubuchon (Falling Skies).
