Unlike The CW shows, The Gifted season two has been filming for quite some time now, which means they had more than enough to show off to their eager fanbase during their SDCC presentation earlier today.

The acclaimed X-Men drama dropped an outstanding official trailer for the upcoming second season as the now-shattered Mutant Underground attempt to regroup and find a way to stop Polaris (Emma Dumont), Andy (Percy Hynes White), and a few other new villains that have aligned with the Hellfire Club.

Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.

The Gifted features:
Stephen Moyer as Reed Strucker
Amy Acker as Caitlin Strucker
Sean Teale as Marcos Diaz/Eclipse
Jamie Chung as Clarice Fong/Blink
Coby Bell as Jace Turner
Emma Dumont as Lorna Dane/Polaris
Blair Redford as John Proudstar/Thunderbird
Natalie Alyn Lind as Lauren Strucker
Percy Hynes White as Andy Strucker
Skyler Samuels as the Stepford Cuckoos

The Gifted returns with an all-new episode on September 29

This season I want to see some member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Maybe Destiny, who has the ability to see the future. A power that can be interesting in the TV show.

I have to give them credit for finally doing a “________ superhero television show without _________” the Right way. It’s not before the famous characters came along or any kind of tortured reimagining. The X-men and the Brotherhood existed, they fought and...? Nobody quite knows what happened to them, and the mutants remaining are trying to pick up the pieces.

They haven’t boxed themselves in with their premise, and so really anything could happen and any character could show up down the line.

The Gifted is a great tv show, I would love if the X-men films were like that show.

@TheBeard - If the shareholders accept, I think it still takes until next summer before everything is finalised.

So season 3 will likley have been filming/ filmed.

Then there is also the fact the whole reason for this merger is to aquried content for their streaming service to draw people to it. If the show is still popular it seems strange to cancel it.

I also feel both Legion and The Gifted are so clearly in their own separate universes (wiht heir own continuty) there will be no confusion of "are these part of the MCU?"

Looks great.

Looks like they have a bigger budget than last season, and looks like Legion has a had an affect on it; the colours and set deisgn look great.

That was a phenomenal trailer. I really enjoyed the first season. I can't say it was the best thing ever but it was very solid. Been looking forward to season and even more so now.

This is honestly one of my favorite new shows considering Flash and Supergirl have gotten stale to me
