Elizabeth Olsen (Godzilla, Oldboy) is one of the most recognizable women in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing Wanda Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

Much like many of the other stars in the MCU, she will soon jump over to the small screen to help flesh out her character alongside her romantic team partner Vision, played by Paul Bettany, in 2021's WandaVision.

Olsen spoke about the upcoming Disney+ series at Comic Con, and while chatting to BUILD series, the actress revealed that she actually messed up what she initially planned to say. Or at least, didn't elaborate fully when explaining what fans can expect to see from Wanda and her transition into Scarlet Witch.

“Kevin Feige, when we were teasing it at Comic-Con for the first time, he was like, ‘Say a sentence about how people are gonna discover that through this show they’ll finally learn ‘Scarlet Witch’ and why she’s called Scarlet Witch. I was like, ‘Okay,’ and then I got on stage and was like, ‘We’ll see Wanda as Scarlet Witch’. I was so intimidated by the 8,000 people [and] I totally blew it.”

Regarding her name and what she'll be known as in the upcoming show, Olsen had this to say.

“I’m just so excited for fans because if they know anything about the Scarlet Witch in the comics, I think this show will just get them so excited. This show will explore why she’s known as Scarlet Witch and how she is Scarlet Witch as opposed to Wanda. We’ve always referred to her as Wanda in our films, so it’s an exciting opportunity."

What do you think about these comments? Check out the full interview in the video below, and et us know what you're hoping to see in WandaVision!

WandaVision will premiere in Spring 2021 exclusively on Disney+.

In other words they can call her Scarlet Witch now because Disney bought the rights? Was that ever an issue?

I'm excited for this though. Wanda is about to become more than just an experiment.

@Forthas - She really could've killed Thanos just like that if she wanted... with a snap of her fingers.
