In last week's episode of What If...?, we visited a reality where Ultron managed to make The Vision's body his own. After gaining the power of the Mind Stone, the villain unleashed his master plan and made short work of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Later, when Thanos came calling, he sliced the Mad Titan in half and upgraded himself with all six of the Infinity Stones.
With that, a new big bad was introduced who poses a threat to the entire Multiverse. Ultron ultimately reaches a higher state of consciousness and is able to travel through realities after hearing The Watcher's narration. He gains access to the entire Multiverse (portrayed as a series of prisms) and ends up battling an armoured Uatu through a series of different realities.
Now, the stage is set for an epic clash between The Watcher's "Guardians of the Multiverse" (Captain Carter, Star-Lord, Killmonger, Gamora, Doctor Strange Supreme, Black Widow, and Party Thor) and the big bad we now know as Infinity Ultron. That villain is getting his own Funko Pop figure, though it's clearly still in the very early stages of development based on the image below.
Some fans have argued that The Vision's face should be seen beneath the Ultron armour, so fingers crossed that's added now Funko have obviously seen the finished design for this villain.
James Spader didn't lend his voice to Infinity Ultron, but Ross Marquand took over the role and did a great job. Whether there are any live-action plans in place for this iteration of the android is unclear.
The title of tomorrow's episode of What If...? should be revealed later today, so stay tuned!
