What If...? arrived on Disney+ yesterday, and Marvel Studios and Hyundai have once again teamed up for a unique promotion. Just like we got a commercial for Loki featuring the God of Mischief escaping from Earth's Mightiest Heroes in one of their vehicles, we have a similarly unique promo set in the animated version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Multiverse.
As you can see, we kick things off with Captain Carter, Doctor Strange Supreme, and Star-Lord battling a seemingly endless army of Ultron's drones.
However, The Watcher then opens a portal that brings Party Thor into the fray driving a Hyundai. It obviously goes without saying that this isn't "canon," but it does raise some interesting questions. For starters, this is the first time we've seen Uatu as more than just an observer in the background, but could his power to open portals between realities factor into What If...? itself?
It's certainly possible after that "Guardians of the Multiverse" promo art we saw doing the rounds a while ago, and it's not like The Watcher doesn't have a habit of getting involved in the comics!
We also can't help but wonder if Ultron is going to be the "big bad" in this show as the story progresses (especially after seeing a "Vision" who has somehow mastered each of the six Infinity Stones).
