Netflix has officially announced that Stranger Things season 2 will premiere on Halloween weekend, and they've also released some intriguing first footage in the form of a Super Bowl TV spot.

We knew Millie Bobby Brown would be back as Eleven, and we get our first glimpse of her here (those nosebleeds haven't cleared up, anyway), along with brief glimpses of the other main characters, and some seriously apocalyptic looking stuff going on in the night sky as what might well be the Demogorgon's big brother looms over Hawkins.

It doesn't give us a whole lot to go on plot-wise, but still a pretty exciting first teaser nonetheless. Check it out below, and let us know what you think in the usual place.

And people said it would be too early to release a new teaser for Justice League or Spider-Man Homecoming. The second season of this show doesn't release until October!!!

@DeadWade213 - I don't think there is a need for tv spots in the superbowl for those two films ( at 5 million for 30s). Everyone knows justice league and homecoming are coming out. Why would they waste 5 million when they can release the trailers online later

@Menks123 - It's the only show in existence that can crossover with Stranger Things. Not to mention that this will cause tumblr to implode, which is a good thing.

@Kr08 - Yup and would actually make sense that it would happen. Both shows share the same tone to me with comedy and darker elements.

@Menks123 - The brother have traveled between dimensions and universes. It would make sense if they traveled back in time to Hawkins to encounter Eleven and the boys. The possibilities are endless.

Castiel and Eleven would make for great television
