STRANGER THINGS 3’s New Trailer Has Become Netflix’s Most Viewed Youtube Video Ever

With a July 4th release date, there's no doubt that fans will have another reason to celebrate when the holiday arrives this summer.

Stranger Things, Neflix's staple show, has only been increasing in its audience since its debut three summers ago. Since then it has become a phenomenon among all four quadrants of the television community. Reflecting its popularity is the record the Stranger Things 3  trailer set earlier this week, taking the pedestal for most viewed trailer ever on Netflix's Youtube account.

Considering the growth and excitement the service has been garnering in recent years, this is a huge deal for their flagship show, overtaking Season 2's "Thriller" video (19 mil) and Bird Box trailer's (18 mil) lifetime counts.

Considering the popularity of the show, and the increasing fanbase this statistic clearly alludes to, Stranger Things 3 has the potential to break servers when it hits July 4th.

I literally adore this show, I think it’s so so fun. Great great cast, with some stellar performances. I honest to god have no complaints, any issues with it are overshadowed by the fun and excitement I’m experiencing.

@Vocloz - I'm in need of a re-watch of both seasons, but I thought S1 was over hyped but solid and S2 was just meh. S2 mainly because the lack of Overall story progression. Why are these kids and their families still living in this town where 100% of this stuff occurs. GET OUT!

@OptimusGrime - I didn't like season 2 near the amount that I liked season 1 but I still loved the trailer and am looking forward to the third. There's little in the trailer related to season 2 even, thankfully nothing to do with the awful 'The Lost Sister' episode.

@Nebula - Yeah that lost sister arc wasnt great in my mind. I mean for s2 they had a lot to live up to i suppose if im being less critical but just hit the mark. Hope S3 brings it!

Impossible. People on here said Netflix was dead after the Marvel shows got axed.

@blackandyellow - what? Who the hell was saying that? Netflix will still be a juggernaut even after they lose all those shows and movies from Fox, WB, Disney and all the other studios because of their original content. Netflix saw all this coming,it's why they went into original content far in advance of loosing everything.

@blackandyellow - They will not die, but they might see a significant drop in their user count. Not everyone will want to keep paying for multiple services at the same time.
