Bad news for fans of Netflix's V-Wars and October Faction, as neither show will return for a second run on the streaming giant.

THR reports that Netflix has decided to cancel two of its three IDW adaptations after just one season. The third, Locke and Key, has been renewed, however. No specific reason was given for the shows being scrapped, but since Netflix doesn't release viewership figures, it's assumed the decision was made based on internal data. Basically, Netflix didn't think it made financial sense to invest in more episodes.

V-Wars and October Faction now join other recently cancelled series Messiah, AJ and the Queen, Spinning Out, Soundtrack and Daybreak, which were also dropped after their first seasons.

Neither show was particularly well received by critics. V-Wars sits at 56% on Rotten Tomatoes, while October Factions has an even more lackluster 33%.

What do you guys make of this news? Were you a fan of either or both shows? Drop us a comment in the usual place.
