AHSOKA: New Details Have Been Revealed About Hayden Christensen's Return As Anakin Skywalker - SPOILERS

It's no secret that Hayden Christensen is set to return as Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka, but a new report claims to reveal which episode he'll appear in and even what we can expect to see from the actor!

It was recently revealed that Disney+ will release Master and Apprentice, a standalone special exploring Anakin Skywalker's history with Ahsoka Tano, the same week as Ahsoka's fifth episode.

As you might expect, speculation has since run rampant Hayden Christensen is going to make his long-rumoured return as Anakin in the Dave Filoni-helmed instalment. After all, who better than him to finally take us back to the events of The Clone Wars?

Bespin Bulletin (via SFFGazette.com) has since shared an update revealing, "Anakin Skywalker is set to appear in the fifth episode of the Ahsoka series with that episode being directed by the series creator, Dave Filoni, and reportedly sits at a 49-minute runtime."

The site believes we are indeed getting a live-action flashback to The Clone Wars, along with scenes set on Mustafar and even some featuring Darth Vader. Perhaps the most intriguing part of this report, however, states that "Anakin speaks directly to Ahsoka through the World Between Worlds."

If correct, that's huge.

Remember, Anakin has only appeared as a Force Ghost on a single occasion since his death in Return of the Jedi, and that was when he stood alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi and Yoda on Endor shortly after finding redemption. There was no sign of the fallen Jedi in the sequel trilogy, though a return was once considered.

While J.J. Abrams hinted in The Force Awakens that Vader had been communicating with his grandson, Kylo Ren, The Rise of Skywalker confirmed it was actually Emperor Palpatine posing as his former apprentice in an effort to manipulate the powerful Force-wielder.

The site cautions that everything they've shared should be taken as a rumour rather than confirmation. With that in mind, we'd advise not getting too excited; it definitely sounds like Christensen will only appear in a single episode of Ahsoka, anyway, debunking theories his Force Ghost will have a recurring presence.

The first two episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+, with episode 3 set to follow next Tuesday.

I finally caught both episodes last night and boy was it great. I loved the live action versions of Chopper, Sabine, and Hera. The villains are great. I love their character designs and their acting. I will say the one thing I don't like is the fight scenes. They are coming off as very stiff and very "choreographed" if that makes sense. When Sabine was fighting Shin, I could see the actresses pre-positioning for specific moves before they happened.

@SonOfAGif - The show has a lot of promise...hopefully it holds up like Mando Season 1-2 and won't be like the rest of the Disney+ shows. One thing folks are missing about the second episode is the whole new galaxy thing that they now have a map to...that opens up Star Wars being a completely different thing than what we've ever known with Star Wars.Everything we've seen and know from Star Wars takes place in one galaxy.

@SonOfAGif - Maybe if I was invested in the characters before going into this it would be different, but this show comes across as kiddie garbage to me. The whole intro with Sabine was so cringey... Hera's makeup looks like a comicon costume, the humor is a flatline, Ashoka is the only character that I had any interest in seeing more of after the first episode.

@SonOfAGif - Yeah as much as I like her in the role, Rosario Dawson isn't selling the fights very well. It also throws me off whenever her or Hera move their head and their hair tentacles wiggle. I start laughing when that happens lol.

Alright, I realize that I'm now confused by the Star Wars' timeline.

@captainireland - what about the video games?
Usernametaken
Usernametaken - 8/27/2023, 3:12 PM
@captainireland - Honestly, half of those I just don't know anything about.
Mostly because I tried Star Wars animated shows like Clone Wars and Rebels but never cared for them.

But that shit is getting really confusing.

@Usernametaken -

Knights of the Old Republic
Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Clone Wars show and movie
Revenge of the Sith
Rebels
Rogue One
A New Hope
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Mando season 1 and 2
Ahsoka

That's all. Rest is Disney fan-fiction and corporate products that don't service the story of SW or it's characters.

@WarMonkey - That's a good list.

@WarMonkey - I would add Andor though. Really loved that show.

@Usernametaken - that's fair. I guess if we're talking Ahsoka's place in the timeline specifically, then after or around the time of Mando season 3.

@Usernametaken - I'm not a gamer, so I couldn't place them all. But I know The Force Unleashed games are between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
Usernametaken
Usernametaken - 8/27/2023, 6:08 PM
@captainireland - I was just pulling your leg about the games. Your list was already so long haha.

As for Ashoka's place, I think it's just that so much of Disney Star Wars is crammed either just before or just after the OT, that I'm starting to mix both up.

They really need to move further away from it with their next movies/TV shows. It's time.
captainireland
captainireland - 8/27/2023, 7:40 PM
@Usernametaken - true, apart from the sequels, a lot of their stuff is crammed into five years before and after the original trilogy.

Headline: Details Have Been Revealed About Hayden Christensen's Return As Anakin Skywalker

Intro: a new report claims to reveal which episode he'll appear in and even what we can expect to see from the actor.

Claims.

So the word "possibly" should probably go in place of the words "have been" in the headline then. Some consistency and accuracy would be nice. Thanks.

This show is horrible.
- The pacing is brutal
- The dialogue is poorly written
- The action sequences are badly choreographed
- you can tell they are in The Volume
- The acting is bland and listless
- The story is plodding
- The expository dialogue is so forced.
It’s just bad

And it’s yet another female empowerment box checker by Kennedy et al.

They may as well call it AWokea

@TyrantBossMedia - The thing that bugs me about Disney Star Wars how everyone can survive being stabbed with a lightsabre.

Qui Gon Jin died but everyone else, not a problem.
