We're now just 20 days away from the premiere of Disney+'s The Mandalorian spin-off, Ahsoka, and EW (via SFFGazette.com) has unveiled its latest digital cover, giving us a new look at Rosario Dawson's fan-favorite Force-wielder igniting her lethal dual lightsabers.

Ahsoka will serve as a live-action sequel (of a sort) to the animated Star Wars Rebels series, which concluded with Tano donning a white robe after returning to the physical world from the Force dimension known as the World Between Worlds.

What did this new look signify, and why haven't we seen Ahsoka in the same robe in any of the trailers? Dawson uses a Lord of the Rings reference to explain.

"In the animation, you saw her go to the white, but what I loved is the idea that there was even another level to her. Dave and I talked a lot about Gandalf the Gray and Gandalf the White — talking about that transition and how she's someone very capable and excellent and looked up to as a leader, but she still has levels of development to go."

A slight bit of retconning, perhaps, or will we see Ahsoka back in white before the season finale?

Check out the cover below, and click here to see a new image featuring the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skol.

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

The series stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, with Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, with Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Kevin Kiner was announced as the series' composer.

Ahoska is written by executive producer Dave Filoni, alongside executive producers Favreau, Kennedy, Wilson, and Beck. Gilchrist is co-executive producer. The series’ directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel and Rick Famuyiwa.

@filmfella - Can't be worse than Obi Wan, Boba Fett and Mando S3.

But can't be better than Andor.

Really looking forward to what they do with this show. I’m a Rosario Dawson fan and an Ahsoka fan so this should be cool. Hopefully a little more Mando season 1 paced than ObiWon series paced.

Have a feeling this show will be a bit better than most expect. Fingers crossed of course.
