STAR WARS: Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker Gets New Hot Toys Figure Based On AHSOKA's Clone Wars Scenes

Hot Toys has revealed an incredibly lifelike new 1/6th scale action figure based on Hayden Christensen's appearance as the Clone Wars-era Anakin Skywalker in Ahsoka, but why is it splitting opinions?

As we first reported on SFFGazette.com, Hot Toys has revealed yet another 1/6th scale figure based on Ahsoka and we're getting yet another version of Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker.

While incredibly detailed, the figure has divided opinions since it was revealed; that's a shockingly lifelike head sculpt, but the facial expression doesn't exactly lend itself to action poses! It may, however, work for an Anakin who is imparting words of advice to his young Padawan, Ahsoka Tano.

Of course, there's already a Clone Wars-era Anakin Skywalker figure based on his appearance in The Clone Wars animated series (albeit with a live-action-style head based on Christensen in Revenge of the Sith). For those who already have that, this new edition may be a tough sell as the costumes are nearly identical.

The work Hot Toys has put into this figure is extraordinary, though, and it's definitely representative of how the de-aged actor looked when Ahsoka took us to the World Between Worlds.

You can check out the product description below along with some official shots of the figure.

As the Star Wars Clone Wars had begun, Jedi became generals and commanders in the war against the Separatists. Aware of Anakin’s shortcomings and his tendency to forge strong emotional attachments, Yoda assigned Anakin a Padawan learner: Ahsoka Tano. Yoda hoped that Skywalker would learn how to let go of his student as she grew, which was key for Anakin. While Anakin bristled at first to this appointment, a strong bond grew between teacher and student. They had many adventures together, and as Ahsoka matured, so did Anakin.

Hot Toys is excited to present today, the brand new 1/6th scale Anakin Skywalker collectible figure based on his Clone Wars appearance in the World Between Worlds as seen in the Ahsoka live-action series.

The greatly detailed collectible figure features a brand-new head sculpt with amazing likeness, separate rolling eyeballs to adjust the eyesight and detailed hair sculpture, expertly tailored Jedi general outfit, a LED light-up Lightsaber powered by USB, a variety of accessories, and a sand themed display base!

Do not miss the chance to have this astonishing Anakin Skywalker collectible figure in your collection!

Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.

In addition to Rosario Dawson in the title role, the series stars Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.

All episodes of Ahsoka are now streaming on Disney+. Season 2 doesn't have a confirmed premiere window but is currently being developed by Dave Filoni.

It looks pretty good, one for the hardcare fan's collection.

Slight nit pick though...

I get that canonically it happens between episode 2 and 3, but he clearly looks older there than he did in ROTS. on a figure they could have tried to deage him no? I get on film that's not as straight forward as make up and posture, but still.

@UniqNo - looking through pictures impression I got he looks older close up face looks off looks to close how he looks in present not in show timeline as it should be

I don't understand why there are not multiple face options as there are on the other Hot Toy figs.... kinda ruins it. He should be expressing a suppressed simmering rage, not pondering another piece of cake

@ProfessorWhy - looks kinda smug to me. Exactly the kind of Anakin I'm used to from the Clone Wars

@ProfessorWhy - I agree.
It's kind of a goofy "aw shucks" look on his face.

That said, I'm more concerned with how he's holding that lightsaber. You'll poke your eye out kid! 🤪

His appearance in Ashoka messed up the whole canon and continuity for me.
