2020 has been a terrible year, but Ashoka Tano fans do have something to look forward to. The character has made a comeback thanks to the release of The Clone Wars's final season on Disney+, and reliable outlets have reported that Rosario Dawson (Zombieland: Double Tap) will play the hero in season 2 of The Mandalorian (marking the Jedi Knight's live-action debut).
The good news keeps on comin', as "scooper" Daniel RPK (via CBR) has claimed that, "A Ahsoka Tano show of some kind is in development for Disney+."
Incorrect use of indefinite articles aside, this is certainly a pretty bold statement, and one which is undeniably noteworthy. Daniel has shared some reliable information in the past, and he's not the first person to claim that there are plans in place for Ahsoka Tano to star in her own live-action series.
There are a huge number of stories that show could tell, though delving into her hunt for Ezra Bridger perhaps makes most sense, especially as his, and Grand Admiral Thrawn's, fates remain unknown.
This should be taken with a pinch of salt, but as Disney+ has enlisted Russian Doll co-creator Leslye Headland to develop a female-led series, it's not all that difficult to put 2+2 together in this case.
