Last night, we told you that Sophie Thatcher had joined the cast of The Mandalorian's second season with the door open to an appearance either in season three or one of the upcoming spinoffs.
While Deadline's report debunked claims that Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) are getting their own show, the trade has now updated its story with quite the bombshell! They reiterate that production on a third season begins soon, but notes that there's some confusion about when work begins (if it's not next week, it could be early next year or the Spring).
Why? Well, "One explanation could be rumors that another Mandalorian-related project, I hear possibly a Boba Fett miniseries, would film first, starting next week, with The Mandalorian Season 3 following after a monthlong break." That's right, it appears the iconic bounty hunter is finally getting his own show!
A Boba Fett TV series has been rumoured for a while now, and it's no secret that Lucasfilm once had a movie in the works revolving around the iconic Star Wars villain. Depending on how much more of him we see in The Mandalorian, this will likely explain how he survived the events of Return of the Jedi and reveal what became of him next.
We'll have to wait and see, but this is a reliable source, so expect an official announcement soon.
