Carnage hasn't actually been confirmed for this October's Venom movie but with Woody Harrelson claiming that he has only a very minor role (which would be expanded on in the sequel), it makes sense that he'll wind up playing Cletus Kasady. After all, it's hard to imagine anyone better suited for the role and seeing him go up against Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock definitely has an awful lot of potential.

The vast majority of fans would obviously like to see Spider-Man caught in the middle of that fight but that's not going to happen so we'll have to make do with Venom vs. Carnage if a follow-up happens.

For now, this incredible fan-art imagines what Venom's version of Carnage could look like and the results are very cool indeed. While it's clear that the movie isn't really sticking to the source material in terms of how Venom's origin story is handled, it would be downright foolish to give Carnage anything other than his classic comic book look! Woody Harrelson as Cletus/Carnage has me hyped. Don't waste this great cast Sony. I hope the Tom Holland cameo is for real. I hate the idea of Spider-Man's greatest villains not knowing he exists. I can't bare that.

Looks like pretty standard Carnage fan-art to me. There's not really much to imagine when it comes to live-action Carnage because his design is so simple.

@MrMartyMarvel - To be fair, Venom's design is pretty simple also. Actually it's more simple. But Sony sure found a way to make him look stupid in Spidey 3.

Venom is usually portrayed as a cleaner, smooth costume.

Carnage usually has all kinds of little tendrils and stuff moving around with thinner, sharper looking teeth. And I always imagined the red to look like flowing blood all over the symbiote.

So yeah, this looks good, but they could easily [frick] it up.

But seriously this actually would have looked better if they just tinted Venom Red and added black around the eyes. This looks like Carnage if the symbiote bonded with this

I want this to be good, being a big Hardy fan and Ruben Fleischer fan...

I just have a feeling it will be very generic without Spidey, especially Hollands'. Really wish this was scrapped and another deal of some sort could be worked out with Sony/Disney.

I'll still see it with low expectations and hope I can get past Spideys' absence.

regardless of the talent involved I can’t get excited for venom, he doesn’t work without spider man and the whole evil corporation wants symbiote / man on the run vibe the trailers give off is so f*cking boring to me for a venom movie

I still sort of expect that we wont see Carnage in the first movie, instead i think Carlton Drake will turn into something resembling 'Homo Arachnis'
