Straight from IGN:

Two more villains have been confirmed for Batman: Arkham Asylum 2.

Voice actor Maurice LaMarche, who previously voiced Brain in Animaniacs and Egon Spengler in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon, confirmed on the GeekCast Radio podcast he'll be providing the voice for Mr. Freeze in the upcoming sequel.

"Videogames is hard work, I'll say that," LaMarche said. "I've only done a handful, and I'm very lucky right now, I'm about to go in and do Mr. Freeze for Arkham Asylum 2."

LaMarche couldn't go into much detail about the character, but did say Mr. Freeze will be very, very angry.

"To tell you the truth, I think, contractually, I can't. I've got to keep it under wraps," he said when asked to talk about the character. "As for Mr. Freeze's role in the game, he's out for blood right now because... I can't tell you the situation, but he's actually somewhat of a sympathetic character within the framework of the game."

Actor Stana Katic, star of ABC's Castle, also confirmed via her Twitter account she'll be voicing Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra's al Ghul.

"Just recorded a character voice on the next Batman videogame. Never did that before," she wrote. "For those who were asking: I'm voicing Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ra al Ghul (played by Liam Neeson in "Batman Begins")." Her posts have since been deleted, but not before LeagueOfComicGeeks.com could snag a screenshot.

The list of villains continues to grow. Over the weekend, Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy confirmed Two-Face would also be in the game. Conroy also said Arkham Asylum 2 will be "really, really dark."

If they're planning a 3rd Arkham (and I think they will) the might save him up for the final one - maybe batman would have all gotham to explore and find the victims of the riddler?

And no word on penguin and cat woman yet, Arkam Asylum had a few references to them and AA2 also showed the Penguins restaurant if i'm not mistaken?

I played and completed/beat the first one 100% and am on pins and needles waiting for the second one...it can't come fast enough...I almost had a nerdgasm when the arkhamhasmoved website came online with the trailer...LOVE Harley in that hot outfit and the characterizations are PERFECT...and I DO want more freedom in the next one ala GTA type missions...waiting waiting waiting...

GTA-style might be a little too much imo.

What would be nice would be a form 'noteriety' metre (like in Assassins Creed) where people would see you more if you're travelling in broad daylight, but they'll notice you less if you move in the shadows. However I do like linear games and Asylum 1 mixed free-roaming and linearity in the right way ;)

@Bomblu...
I'm with you...I'm a fan of linear for the most part, but I love when they use free roam properly...I just think that AA2 would benefit by allowing more free roam than the first one...kinda like the Spider-Man games based on the movies...that could allow for "mini-missions", trophies, collectibles, and easter eggs in the form of villain hideouts, bit characters, etc.

@Mike...
I would love to be able to use the Batmobile to get from location to location (ala free roam) but what would kick ass even more is to have to option to choose vehicles...I mean like, have the Tumbler version, TAS version, some of the sports cars that Neal Adams did in the 70's, along with the Cycles, the boats, and the flyers...

the producers allready made clear that free roam is out of the question because most of the free roam games end up badly...at least hope for assassin creed like gameplay.
