First look at the Challenge Mode in Batman: Arkham City!

Featuring awesome new footage of Batman AND Catwoman!

Sadly the footage is not in the highest resolution, but here is our first look at Batman and Catwoman in Arkham City's challenge mode. At an exclusive event held by Gamestop, gameplay from the Joker's Carnival challenge map (an exclusive pre-order buy from Gamestop) was shown.

That player was on an 80-hit combo - not bad! This further highlights the differences between Catwoman and Batman - the former relies more on agility, whilst the latter has more power in the punches. I am looking forward to using both characters when Arkham City comes out. Furthermore, if you manage to get a 100-hit combo in this map, Joker himself will enter the fray.

Batman: Arkham City comes to PS3 and Xbox on October 18th. The PC version has been delayed until November.

I'm buying PS3 specifically for Arkham City. Which I pre-ordered.

I wonder if I should play Arkham Asylum first... hmmmmm

@Greengo - you should definitely play Arkham Asylum first. Not for nothing is it the most critically acclaimed game of all time. At least for right now - Arkham City is gonna make it look like a test-run...

@Greengo Definately, homie. True classic.

QUESTION:
If you pre-ordered, where did you order from and why?

(I pre-ordered from Best Buy for Robin skins.)

From GameStop for Joker thingymahjig.

I actually want the BatmanBeyond skin.

Do you get different perks pre-ordering from different places? Or do you get all the unlock codes regardless of where it's pre-ordered?

You get exclusive codes to gain access to content depending on where you pre-order from. Usually all the content is released later on for a fee. I'm not sure if X-Box got Joker as a playable character for Asylum, that might've been a PS3 exclusive. But the rest of the stuff came out as add-on dlc.

For instance, I won't be able to get the Joker thingymahjig until they release it as an add-on later on down the line.

I WILL however be able to play as Robin as soon as I start the game.

If the codes are one-off (one use only) then I know another little trick on the PSN that might work. I'll elaborate if necessary.
