Sadly the footage is not in the highest resolution, but here is our first look at Batman and Catwoman in Arkham City's challenge mode. At an exclusive event held by Gamestop, gameplay from the Joker's Carnival challenge map (an exclusive pre-order buy from Gamestop) was shown.

That player was on an 80-hit combo - not bad! This further highlights the differences between Catwoman and Batman - the former relies more on agility, whilst the latter has more power in the punches. I am looking forward to using both characters when Arkham City comes out. Furthermore, if you manage to get a 100-hit combo in this map, Joker himself will enter the fray.

Batman: Arkham City comes to PS3 and Xbox on October 18th. The PC version has been delayed until November.
