Maisie Williams May Play 'Ellie' In THE LAST OF US; Promo Poster Revealed
Though nothing is set in stone, writer Neil Druckmann and producer Sam Raimi have confirmed during a surprise Comic-Con panel that Williams (Arya in Game Of Thrones) is the girl they want for the lead.
We've known there was a big-screen take on the excellent Last Of Us video game in the works for a while now, but today at SDCC the film's writer (Neil Druckmann) and producer (Sam Raimi) held a surprise panel to discuss it. Druckmann revealed that they've met with Game Of Thrones' actress Maisie Williams for the role of Ellie; the young girl who may hold the key to the survival of the human race in the game's story. Apparently nothing’s locked down, but Druckman urged audience members to ask Williams about the roll later on during the Game of Thrones panel. "I think it's going to be a great character journey and a great love story, and a great horror picture," Raimi added. No director or release date as of yet, but what would you guys think of Williams in the role? They also released this promo poster:
