PlayStation 5 Unboxing Video Released And It Looks Like Possibly The Biggest Console To Date

An unboxing video for the PlayStation 5 has been released, and you'll need to clear some space on your shelves to make room for this bad boy. There's also some disappointing news about a launch title!

IGN has shared an unboxing video for the PlayStation 5, and it's an absolute beast!

It's clear now this will take up considerably more shelf space than other consoles. Comparisons to everything from the last three PlayStation consoles to everything from the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Switch show a piece of hardware vastly bigger than any of gaming devices that have been on the market.

It's a beauty, however, and definitely more eye-catching than officially released promo videos have led us to believe. The PlayStation 5 launches on November 12, with Spider-Man: Miles Morales the launch title most gamers are itching to get their hands on next month.

Unfortunately, we've learned that launch title Destruction AllStars has been moved from from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost. It's unclear what's led to the delay, but Sony says, "We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?"

The PlayStation 5 now has one less exclusive, but given how difficult pre-orders were to secure, there will be a huge number of people without the console leading into the Holiday season.

The rate at which things are going, I don't think we'll see PS5 in my country this year. Fml.

The size is the biggest issue for me. I loved that the PS4 was smaller than the PS3 and was actually reasonably portable. I don't think I'll be able to take the PS5 anywhere...

@dragon316 - Well I always took mine to uni. And I know many of my fellow students also did. Really helps to have it easily portable.
