Ubisoft has created their own film studio, and they have huge plans

If you were waiting for other CBMs like the Halo and Mass Effect film adaptations, you may have something else to whet your appetite. According to recent reports the French video game publisher, Ubisoft, has started their own film studios. The studio is called, 'Ubisoft Motion Pictures', and they already have several irons in the fire.
So far, they plan to expand on their critical franchises, like Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell.

Ubisoft is adamant about keeping things pure, so that they can accurately portray the games in question. Ubisoft's official statement was,
"Our strategy is not to diversify but to bolster the appeal of our franchises — that’s why we want to make sure our films will reflect the brands accurately and consolidate our fan base while expanding beyond the games’ primary target audience.”

Hopefully, this means that the games would be done the correct way. If Marvel can start their own studios and have THEIR movies be consistent hits, Ubisoft has a high chance of replicating that success. An 'Assassins Creed' movie could potentially be epic, and lead to a very profitable series of sequels. Let the fancasts begin!

Ubisoft has a ton of very talented and passionate people working for them, but I honestly don't think they have any idea of what they're getting themselves into. Comic book movies and video game movies are two completely different things. Even the most successful video game movies are lucky to make 1.5 times the budget put into them. There was already an extremely profitable market when Marvel opened up a studio.

I've wanted to see a Splinter Cell movie for a while, but I really think it would be better handled by an outside studio unless it is a direct to video feature.

At this point, Halo and Mass Effect are the only games I could see making an enormous amount of money as movies.

Definitley. While Ubisoft has potential, I would shat my pants for a Mass Effect movie.

i hope they bundle the ezio story together in the series. have the pope as the underlying villain with Caesara as his side kick son. revelations story highlights could be told to desmond as the third starts. because the stories have a lot of filler in them so condensing them would be easy and more direct.

I would love a Splinter cell and assassins creed movies. Eric Dane or Timothy Olyphant for Sam Fisher.

Assassins Creed, Gears of War, HALO, Mass Effect, Ghost Recon, would be good. If done, correctly, it would be awesome!

Spider-Man Noir, 1930's Spider-Man, would be cool

Spider-Man 2009, the future, would be cool and different

Ultimate Spider-Man, today, look at it as: 2005, it would be cool, kids could see it and look-up to "Peter Parker", this would "ONLY WORK" if none of the villians were killed-off, by the end of the movie.

Spider-Girl, would be cool, show a different perspective of the "Spider-World". Go back-and-forth, between the female and the male; for any movie.

What I mean is: Hollywood "Feels" as though its sterotyping in the leads for movies. People would come to the theaters more, if they saw or "heard"; that they're also can be: Male and also, female Super hero's.
