As has become a tradition for
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 any time a new Marvel movie comes out, the game has been updated with new content ahead of the theatrical release of
Ant-Man and the Wasp. The new
Ant-Man and the Wasp Character and Level Pack is actually inspired by the classic comic series but arrives ahead of the highly anticipated Marvel sequel this weekend.
Available today for $2.99 (or as part of the Season Pass for $14.99), Marvel’s
Ant-Man and the Wasp Character and Level Pack takes the titular heroes to Hank Pym’s forgotten research lab, where his old adversary Egghead is hatching a fiendish plan. Warner Bros. Interactive teases
“a battle against Egghead’s goons and a giant chicken mech.” Additionally, new playable characters will also be added to the game’s roster which already boasts over 200 heroes and villains. These new characters include Ant-Man (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Wasp (Hope van Dyne), Egghead, Crossfire, Stinger (Cassie Lang), The Human Fly, Giant-Man (Raz Malhotra), and Ghost.
The
Ant-Man and the Wasp Character and Level Pack is just the latest in a long line of DLC for
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 which has already seen content based on
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Black Panther, Runaways, Cloak & Dagger and most recently
Infinity War.
The
Ant-Man and the Wasp DLC is available today in
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2. The actual movie, which has already
been certified “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, opens this weekend on July 6. Directed by Peyton Reed, the sequel is
tracking for an impressive $70-$80 million opening.
