The Merc with a Mouth isn't only showing off on the big screen this week, he's also bringing his shenanigans to MARVEL Strike Force, the free-to-play squad-based RPG on mobile devices.

With Deadpool 2 hitting theaters this week, MARVEL Strike Force has received an update that adds a bunch of new content inspired by the sequel film.

According to the official press release:

Starting today, S.T.R.I.K.E. agents can work to unlock and battle against the immortal antihero in brand-new Deadpool 2-themed Raids and Blitzes. As an ally of your Strike Force, utilize Deadpool’s eclectic arsenal of weapons and kick-ass moves to battle it out against the enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D and earn “chimichanga” premium mOrbs for special Deadpool 2-themed gear. Based on your level in the game, Deadpool could also be your enemy in battle, so be prepared to fend off piñatas full of tricks and surprises.

Similar to the recent Avengers: Infinity War event, this Deadpool 2 content is only available for a limited time (June 10). Players are able to unlock the Regenerating Degenerate using in-game orbs, and just as with Thanos, you won't be able to purchase the character; instead, you must grind for character shards in the special event and raid mode until you have obtained enough.
The arrival of Deadpool is only the first part of this MARVEL Strike Force celebration. Next week on May 24, his psychic nemesis Cable will be added to the game.

Damn, for a moment i thought we were getting another DP videogame...

We really need more comicbook related stuff on the VG front, and i mean triple A games.

The only Marvel game I care about right now:

I finally got around to playing this “Marvel Ultimate Alliance”game people said was better than marvel heroes.

Yeah. No. This game might have been great back in the day, but it just feels like a clunky poor man’s marvel heroes to me. Very disappointed.

Guess I’m stuck with the LEGO games... why has marvel just ignored the video game front. [frick] placing jokes at inappropriate moments, this is Marvel’s biggest flaw.

@BloodyBed - it was really fun back when it released. Playing as the full roster of Marvel heroes at the same time was exciting. I remember being massively disappointed when UA2 came out. People still rave about MUA out of nostalgia.
