As promised, EA Play delivered 15 minutes of stunning gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The highly anticipated story-driven, single-player adventure game is due out later this year and this is the first we've seen of actual gameplay.

For those unfamiliar, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is an original story set shortly after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. In the game, you play as Cal Kestis (Gotham star Cameron Monaghan), a young Padawan who managed to survive Order 66. Now he must complete his training, master the art of the lightsaber, and restore order - all while trying to avoid the Empire and its deadly Inquisitors.

Setting the stage for the reveal, EA revealed this is three hours into the game, so Cal Kestis isn't exactly learning his powers, but he's also not a full-blown Jedi yet. The gameplay takes us to the Wookie planet of Kashyyyk where Cal is on a mission to restart the Jedi Order.

Check out the 15-minute, unedited gameplay video below live as it happens (the full 30-minute panel with developer Respawn Entertainment is below).

Players will meet Cal on Bracca, a brand-new Star Wars planet and one of several new locations introduced in the game. Cal is hiding from the Empire in plain sight but is forced to go on the run when he exposes his Force powers. Along the way, Cal will make new friends, like his mysterious companion Cere, as well as run into some familiar faces, all while being accompanied by his faithful droid BD-1. Cal’s flight from the Empire is made even more dangerous as he is being pursued by the Second Sister, one of the Empire’s elite Inquisitors, who seeks to hunt Cal down and extinguish this surviving Jedi. Assisting the Second Sister are the terrifying Purge Troopers, special Imperial forces trained to seek out Jedi and aid the Inquisitors in their dastardly work.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is due out on November 15, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Gives me some nice Uncharted vibes, which is great.

@Nerdman3000 - Definitely. The way he climbs is almost identical to the Uncharted mechanics.

The wall running looked so buggy + the Wookiee look really realllyyyy bad. But it is still a long way from release. Otherwise, looks a little too slow IMO

Getting strong Naughty Dog (UNCHARTED) vibes. Intentional?

@NoAssemblyReqd - Speaking of which, it’s criminal that we haven’t got a modern Indiana Jones game in the style of UNCHARTED.

@NoAssemblyReqd - But Uncharted IS a modern Indiana Jones game, what's the point of pretty much just making the same game with an Indy skin?

@LongMayHeReign - Touché. I guess I just want the thrill of punching Nazis while the RAIDERS march plays.

Looks awesome. Def Uncharted vibe. Nice mix of Force unleashed and Jedi Academy vibes as well.

Eh, looks fun, the lightsaber gameplay reminds me of the old Jedi Outcast games. I’ll wouldn’t preordered it because it’s EA, but I might get it when it’s on a sale. Call me when we get another Star Wars RPG game like KotOR.

Look like the Force Unleashed games. So for that reason I like it. But those games weren't that popular. So I'm not sure how this is gonna be received.

I've been bad at video games since the 80s, but I really do like the trailers and even gameplay vids for these. I'd like to see animated movies/shows like these trailers and such to be honest.

Mechanics look a bit slow. Like a less smooth version of Uncharted
