WANTED 2 will be directed by Timur Bekmambetov who was on board for this first. He is working with Chris Morgan to adapt the next story. "That is the challenge here," said Morgan, "but the point is to continue the journey that Wes [Gibson, played by James McAvoy] started in the first film. Wherever he ended up at the end of the film, now it's time to move him forward." Morgan continued, "There's a natural journey that Wes needs to take...it is going to be opened up to be more global."

Also Mark Millar, who created the comic book Wanted will be involved in the making of this sequel.

why do they even call it wanted? The movie had absolutely nothing to do with the book.
