As director Bryan Singer and his crew busy themselves with pre-production on X-Men: Days Of Future Past, you would assume his cast are all ready and waiting to jump right in as soon as shooting is set to commence - but when you're as busy as James McAvoy is, sometimes things have to be put on the long finger. In an interview with Getty Images Entertainment to promote his new movie Welcome To The Punch, the actor reveals that because of his hectic schedule he hasn't even had a chance to scan the script. "The X-Men script? It’s in my inbox… I’ve still got to read it," admits McAvoy. "I’m very excited about it but I’ve just been doing so much of this (interviews) and working at night so I’m starting work at 9 and don’t finish until midnight so I’m not being flippant… I honestly can’t wait to read it and find out what I’m doing but I’ve just got no time right now.” McAvoy also updates on a couple of other projects he's been linked to:
On playing the lead in the remake of
The Crow:
“It’s not for real. I don’t think it’s materialized into anything truthful yet… it’s just been rumour mill stuff.”
And on
Wanted 2:
“They’re doing the right thing. They won’t go ahead with it unless they get a story that feel totally and utterly 100 per cent passionate about. If they don’t have that then frankly they shouldn’t go ahead. But if they get a story together that they feel that way about then great, yeah.”
You'll not that he says
The Crow hasn't materialized into anything YET, so that at least suggests that there's been some discussion.
Wanted 2 sounds like it'll be some time away if it happens at all, but was anyone really crying out for a sequel to that one anyway? Sound off below.
