BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Some Of WONDER WOMAN's Powers Will Be Saved For Her Solo Movie
Obviously we've seen Wonder Woman in action in the Batman V Superman trailers, but how many of her mighty abilities will actually be on display in the film? Producer Deborah Snyder weights in...
Since it was announced that Wonder Woman was going to appear in Zack Snyder's follow-up to Man Of Steel fans have been curious about how her powers would be depicted. Obviously in the comics the character is pretty much on par with Superman, and has many of the same attributes in terms of strength, speed, flight etc - but will we see that in the movie?
Collider sat down with Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice producer Deborah Snyder and asked her about how the power levels of Wonder Woman - as well as Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash - and how much we'd get to see of those abilities in the movie.
"I think that Zack and Geoff Johns sat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least. Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like what Superman’s powers were, and I think you see a little bit of Wonder Woman. So we get a sense of her power but we didn’t want to do too much because obviously Patty’s going to build up to that and we’re going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie. And then with Aquaman and Flash and Cyborg, those are a little bit more cameo, so you see a little bit that there’s something different but we don’t want to give too much away because we were just in the process, and we still are, of developing those scripts."
That definitely suggests that they've reigned her in a little for her big-screen debut, so fans might be disappointed that they don't get to see Diana fly, for example, but we already know she goes toe-to-toe with Doomsday so we're probably safe with the super-strength/speed.
What do you guys think will be saved for Patty Jenkins' solo Wonder Woman flick?
