EDITORIAL: Six Directors Who Should Be Considered For WONDER WOMAN
With Warner Bros. possibly bringing Wonder Woman to the big screen within the next few years, I've compiled a list of directors who I think are worthy of helming the live action movie debut of Princess Diana.

Warner Bros. has had a film adaptation for Wonder Woman in development for several years now. A couple months ago, it was reported that Green Lantern scribe Michael Goldenberg was hired by the studio to write a new draft for the movie. With rumors of the Amazonian princess being referenced in next summer's Man Of Steel (maybe even a cameo), Princess Diana should make her big screen debut in the near future if all goes well. As with any movie, a Wonder Woman movie would be very good depending on its director. Below, I've listed six directors that Warner Bros. should consider hiring to bring Wonder Woman to life.
Kathryn Bigelow
The Hurt Locker
Bigelow would probably be the least likely to direct Wonder Woman, but if she did, she would do a great job. She can direct action well and could provide a consistent tone, as well as properly develop the characters. Plus, having an Oscar-winning director behind your film is rarely a bad idea.
Nicolas Winding Refn
Drive
Refn expressed his interest in directing a Wonder Woman film last year. Unless he gets his way and casts Christina Hendricks in the title role, I'd love to see him direct it. After the near-masterpiece Drive, I really want him to direct a comic book movie. Why not something that he's passionate about?
Tarsem Singh
Immortals
Singh can provide a strong visual feel to a Wonder Woman film, similar to that of his recent Greek mythological epic Immortals. And a Wonder Woman needs a strong Greek mythological background. Just give him an excellent script, and I can see him doing quite well with the movie.
Rupert Wyatt
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes
With Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Wyatt manage to take a sci-fi/fantasy concept and make it feel very real. That should be the basis for a Wonder Woman film: make it feel real, believable, etc. Plus, Wyatt can provide a bit of an exotic feel to a Wonder Woman movie similar to that of Apes.
Matthew Vaughn
X-Men: First Class
After Kick-Ass and last year's X-Men: First Class, Vaughn has been widely received and praised by geeks and fanboys alike. Seeing him direct a DC Comics film would be fantastic, so why not Princess Diana herself? Vaughn is a class director, always providing character development above eye candy.
Guy Ritchie
Sherlock Holmes
Ritchie has also been able to direct dark films that are believable (the Sherlock Holmes films, for example), not to mention that he has worked with Warner Bros. on those films. He was even attached to the planned Lobo film for a while, but exited the project to work on Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows. After the success of both Holmes films, it's logical that WB would hire Ritchie to direct one of their DC movies.
