Who could have guessed that Wonder Woman 1984 would turn out to be (arguably) the most controversial movie of what's been an undeniably crazy 2020?

Thanks to Warner Bros.' decision to have the DC Comics adaptation debut on Christmas Day in theaters and on HBO Max at the same time, a conversation has started which could forever change the film industry. After all, the studio has already shifted its entire 2021 slate to the streaming service.

How that will work out for Wonder Woman 1984 remains to be seen, but as fans, we're obviously still excited to see this member of the Justice League back on a screen of any size!

Now, thanks to IGN, we have some cool new character posters for the Patty Jenkins-directed sequel. As you can see below, Diana Prince (Gal Gadot), Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal), and Cheetah (Kristen Wiig) are all spotlighted (no great surprise when they're the film's leads).

Once again, some vibrant visuals are used to promote the DC Comics movie, and any one of them would look great on your wall. Dr. Barbara Minerva's transformation is teased in a big way here, though it is a shame we don't get to see her as the villainous Cheetah!

Take a look at these new posters below:

Well, at least we're getting something.

WW84 and Vikings are the only things left this year.

See it in theaters and on HBO Max. Or just torrent the HD version for free on day 1.

@WakandanQueen - Pine's actually the best actor out of all four, imo. He was exceptional in Hell or High Water. I know Tarantino really wants to work with him too

@WakandanQueen - And now I want that Tarantino-scripted, Pine-starring Star Trek film that he started work on before giving up lmao

To his credit, he did have the largest load to carry.

@Reeds2Much - Haha, even beyond Wonder Woman I mostly just mean on the strength of his smaller work. Even in Snowpiercer & Knives Out I never thought Evans was transformative, even if he was good in both, and Hemsworth/Pratt tend to struggle in more dramatic stuff.

@tmp3 - @tmp3 - agreed. if you compare him in horrible bosses 2, hell or high water, wonder woman and star trek the boys got range. I think him and Chris Evens are easily the best.

By the way guys, I am sorry to the nay sayers but I'm hyped for this [frick]ing thing.

We'll see where this goes, WW1 was a very solid venture with some obvious kinks in it but overall easily one of the best DCEU movies (if not the best).

The project looks stellar to me and maybe even better than the first.

I'm starting to believe Steve Trevor is either the Martin Manhunter or he was teleported into a spaceship after he blew up the plane and it made it looked like he was dead.

There's are definitely not easy on the eye. The Pine one in particular looks very off.
