Deadline is reporting that Ravi Patel has joined the cast of Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman 1984. Details on his role are being kept under lock-and-key for now.

He joins a cast headlined by a returning Gal Gadot (Justice League), who will reprise her role as the Princess of Themyscira for the fourth time in three years. Primetime Emmy-nominee Chris Pine (Star Trek Beyond), Academy Award-nominee Kristen Wiig (The Martian), Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones), and Natasha Rothwell (Insecure) will also feature.

Patty Jenkins is back in the director's chair with a script she co-wrote alongside David Callaham (Godzilla) and Geoff Johns (Aquaman). Production is already underway on the highly-anticipated sequel, which is expected to hit theaters on November 1, 2019.

Patel is likely best known for his role in Netflix's Master of None and for his main role on FOX's short-lived comedy Grandfathered. His other credits include, but are not limited to, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Scrubs, Transformers, Outsourced, Grey's Anatomy, Santa Clarita Diet, and American Housewife. In 2014, he co-directed the comedy documentary Meet the Patels with his sister Geeta Patel.

Hope Pedro has a better role in WW1984 than he did in Equalizer 2.

Best case scenario - It is to WW what The Dark Knight was to Batman Begins. 🏆 🥇

Worst Case Scenario - GOTG: Vol 2 🥚 🦃 🦃

I expect probably something inbetween.

Great addition.

Meet the Patels was actually a pretty good little independent film, with lots of heart. It was well-made.
