We already knew that Olga Kurylenko (
Oblivion, The Courier) was one of three actresses on the shortlist to play Wonder Woman in Zack Snyder's
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice back in 2015, but it sounds like she
just missed out on landing the role.
During an interview with
THR, the French-Ukrainian actress/model revealed that she auditioned to play the iconic DC Comics heroine alongside Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne), and while she didn't actually end up donning the costume, she did wear "a bathing suit and some leather boots" for their scene.
Kurylenko calls the experience "surreal," and recalls being worried in case Affleck might want to work with a different actress after they appeared together in Terence Malick's
To The Wonder.
"I like Ben as a guy, but I was worried because we had already worked together. Maybe he wouldn’t want to work with someone again. Maybe he’d want to have someone he’s never worked with before. People don’t usually play couples over and over in different films because actors change."
Of course, Gal Gadot ended up playing Diana and the rest is history, but would you guys liked to have seen Kurylenko's take on the character? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to check out some hi-res screencaps from
