Logan brought Hugh Jackman's lengthy run as Wolverine to an end in a very memorable fashion and there's been buzz ever since that the movie could score some serious awards attention. Unfortunately, it missed out on the likes of "Best Picture" and "Best Director" at this year's Oscars but it did become the first superhero movie to land a "Best Adapted Screenplay" nomination which is a very big deal.

Now, both Jackman and James Mangold have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the news and they're both understandably very happy (it's just a shame the Academy didn't see fit to give Wolverine himself a "Best Actor" nod given his extraordinary work on the Marvel Comics adaptation.

As per usual, there were a lot of snubs when the Oscar nominations were announced, with superhero fans particularly disappointed that there was no love for Wonder Woman and The LEGO Batman Movie. How do you feel about Logan getting so much awards love? Are you disappointed 2017's other comic book adaptations didn't fare quite so well? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
