Deadpool Gets More Time in Wolverine Movie

Deadpool Gets More Time in Wolverine Movie

We've learned that more footage of the DEADPOOL character played by Ryan Reynolds has been added to the X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE film!

We are told via IESB.net that Ryan Reynolds was busy a guy in Vancouver during the extra time the production spent there shooting some added footage for his Deadpool character! Apparently most of the footage shot included Reynolds and Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.

This isn't your mother's cameo...Deadpool is full on! Reynolds will appear in the film even more than originally planned!

Reynolds beefed up a la Blade Trinity for the role of the antihero to play opposite Jackman's Wolverine. The Merc with a Mouth can't have wimpy girlie arms next to that guy!

Also DEADPOOL is one of my favorite characters because he is so funny. But when it comes to WOLVERINE, DEADPOOL comes in second place.

Powers:
Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. As such, he can regrow severed limbs or vital organs. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. This healing factor also affords Deadpool a virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and an extended life span. Unlike Wolverine’s natural healing factor, Deadpool’s is mentally driven to a partial extent.

Due to the presence of this superhuman healing ability, many of Deadpool's natural physical attributes have been enhanced. Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. His natural strength, agility and reflexes have been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body. Deadpool's agility and reaction time are superior to those of even the finest human athlete.

Abilities:
Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is skilled in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He is a master of assassination techniques, is an excellent marksman, and is highly skilled with bladed weapons (frequently carrying two swords strapped to his back). He is fluent in Japanese, German, Spanish, amongst other languages.

Weapons:
Deadpool employs any number of weapons depending on his current assignment. Most often he will utilize a combination of guns and blades.

Paraphernalia:
Deadpool utilizes a teleportation device located in his belt to whisk him out of (and occasionally into) danger, as well as a holographic image inducer that he can use to disguise his true appearance as necessary.

First Appearance:
New Mutants #98 (1990)

I just hope they don't try to make him TOO funny. Reynolds character in Blade Trinity was really annoying and not very badass AT ALL.

Very good point Mattlask, but then again, that's what happens when you get Goyer to direct the movie which gave the "green light" to Reynolds to say whatever he wanted. The whole movie sucked because of Goyer. So hopefully this time they'll put Reynolds on a leash! He is funny and might have some good opinions to bring up but he does go overboard. There's a reason why Jim Carrey mostly sticks to comedy, in an action feature it would get out of place.

I think Deadpool is going to be whack in this movie! That is BIGDEZ's Prediction

Supermike just posts to make people angry. He lacks attention and tries to get some by saying shit like that every single time. There seems to be nothing that he actually enjoys. I'm not even sure he's a comic book fan period. The only sure thing about him is that he's pathetic.

hmm, i wonder wat this means for gambits footage, being that he is one of marvels most popular characters, Im just gonna say this, with gambit and deadpool in dis movie it gets no cooler!!
xmentheeight
xmentheeight - 1/23/2009, 5:38 PM
Okay....hopefully the fanboys will simmer down now, but of cours they won't. Now, as much as I like and appreciate DeadPool,...what is the fascination with the mask. Its average at best....basically SpiderMan's mask with no webs and the eyes filled in with black...'viola: DeadPool.
By the way,..definitely agree with Mattlask,....Hannibal King got to be annoying and was a good reason Blade Trinity wasnt worth a damn.
skylarscar
skylarscar - 1/23/2009, 6:01 PM
The reason they want the mask isn't really because of the way the mask looks or because it makes him look cooler, the mask would verify that his face gets messed up. They don't want Deadpool to look like a dolled up Ryan Reynolds all film, they want his face to get disfigured leading to the necessity of the mask.

alphamale80
alphamale80 - 1/23/2009, 6:56 PM
it all depends on how they go about doing it I mean look at sabertooth how can call wolverine a runt when he the smallest out of the 2 .but I can bet you this if they do put the mask on him it will be at the end of the movie and at the most you will only get about 10 to 20 minutes of mask time watch because that is how they roll
Osiris
Osiris - 1/23/2009, 7:31 PM
Wow supermike what are you 12, i could barley decipher what the crap you said both times maybe you should take some grammar classes or maybe just grow up and not be 12 anymore and no 13 does not count, I am in complete compliance with Shaman on the fact that you are pathetic.

Now on topic I'm glade that they are filming more scenes with DP in them, but i am also in hopes that DP doesn't over shadow Gambit to much with the fact that Gambit is the reason why a lot of fans are going to go see this in the first place, I myself want to see Gambit kck some butt being he is my second fav X-Man.

I think Ryan Renolds will be awesome as Deadpool , he was (in my opinion) awesome in Blade Trinity. His wise cracks where just at the right time and added a spike of laughter to the movie, still at the same time being a BAMF! Do you remeber when Hannibal King recused Blade from the police station, when he jumped through the window and his name tag said "Hello my name is F--- You"
I lost it, that was great. As for the rest of Blade Trinity with the whole Dracula thing, yeah it was kind of lousy. I think the villians for all 3 movie where out of order.

Super Mike, through your great writing skills, I see you have the IQ of yogurt. I can’t stand people like that... I'm really skeptical about this movies quality, but man, you need some writing skills to express you opinion, but hey you may actually be 12... So please grow a brain before you write anything else retarded...

everyone shut up about the stupid mask. get over it. if you are basing your opinion of the movie on a stupid mask save your $9.50 and go watch your dvd's of spiderman if you want to see a dumb ass mask. for all the real fans we all know this movie will rock.
SuperSoldier
SuperSoldier - 1/23/2009, 11:02 PM
Dude! nobody likes you supermike. everytime i read your comments i lose about 25 iq points. do you have any valid reasons why you dont like these movies, or do you just go around saying "no that sucks, i dont like it" or is it that whoever your favorite comic hero is so gay that you hate everyone else.

OriginalPhysco
OriginalPhysco - 1/23/2009, 11:04 PM
SuperSoldier, Who are the people who said if he doesnt have a mask the movie will suck? The fans are just wanting one thing(The Mask)That is just the main discussion. Say something to the people that are really bashing the movie like bigdez, grif, Supermike and other movie hatters.
SuperSoldier
SuperSoldier - 1/23/2009, 11:16 PM
you know what recoswava you are right but the mask isnt gonna make the whole movie. you have to start somewhere when it comes down to having a storyline. we all love to read the comics and wish they could spin out the movies quicker. or would these people rather have the movie start off with him in the mask and have deadpool have flashbacks or have him telling his own story. thats where prequals come in and we all know that prequals dont do as well.
OriginalPhysco
OriginalPhysco - 1/23/2009, 11:21 PM
your right i would want to start from the beginning, i would let the mask come at the end of the movie

PS. that prequal idea was just terrible
SuperSoldier
SuperSoldier - 1/23/2009, 11:26 PM
true dat but i didnt want a prequal i was just saying that it would suck so why not start at the beginning. im praying for a good movie and i think it will rock but i will be in iraq when it comes out so i wont get a chance to see it on the big screen i will have to wait til its out on dvd. so hopefully i will have something to look forward to when i get back to the states.

OriginalPhysco - 1/23/2009, 11:30 PM
you know you could go to http://www.watch-movies.net/
they will let you watch movies that are in theathers but you have to wait a few days after the release date to watch it
SuperSoldier
SuperSoldier - 1/23/2009, 11:35 PM
yeah but theres nothing like the big screen and hearing peoples reaction. these movie companies should find a way to send out some sort of copy for the troops so we dont have to watch bad copies like bootlegs that are blurred and sound like crap. ive already missed superman returns, dark knight, spiderman 3, and im gonna miss watchmen now due to my deployments
