Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse introduces us to a younger team of familiar X-Men, including Jean Grey, played by Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner. In a recent interview, Turner gushed about her time working on the film, especially when it came to working with co-star Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Mystique Raven. "She is definitely a big inspiration to work with and she is just how you'd want Jennifer Lawrence to be," she said. "She's exactly the same person that you see in interviews. And she was just amazing. She was really fun, really cool. Hilarious!"
Turner said she looks forward to exploring the dynamic between the younger versions of her character and Cyclops, played by Tye Sheridan. "It's really interesting to see the young douchebag Scott, and the young, shy Jean, and watching them fall out and make up and this weird chemistry they have," she said. Turner also says that Jean's bond with James MacAvoy's Professor Xavier will also be a focal point in the film due to their shared powerset. "They have this unspoken bond because he's telepathic as well, he's gone through the same things. He's very powerful and he sees that growing in her. He wants to protect her and help her control her powers, but also help her access the best of her ability. They have a really sweet relationship."
