@LEEE, he would definatally make a good Guy because he's a douche, but dont you think he needs the build of a high school football star? Cooper could never pull that of.

Gunsmith- I would be inclined to agree with you about Copely. However, because his transformation in District 9 was such a dramtic shift, I think he knows his craft. Of the ones being portrayed, the two that are the most questionable for their respective roles (for me) would be Jackson and Neeson. We know Neeson can do action effectively, and can act superb in certain dramatic roles, but playing a pompous Hannibal? I don't know if it would translate from him. With even less street-cred than Copely is Jackson. He may not deliver a convincing performance. Yet, somewhat like Routh, he just may attempt to do a copycat performance of Mr. T. Who, consequently only pretended to be himself. Or at least the public persona he developed. Routh tried to pretend to be someone else that actually acted. Huge failure.

PHINEHAS=IM SURE NEESON CAN PULL IT OFF, HE'S BEEN IN THE GAME A LONG TIME..BA I WILL GIVE HIM THE BENIFIT OF THE DOUBT..ROUTH WASNT TRYING TO ACT LIKE REEVES THOUGH, ITS A ROLE AND IT CALLED FOR HIM TO ACT IT THAT WAY, AND SINCE SINGER WAS NOSTALGIC DOWN TO LOOKS, THE WAY HE ACTED WAS"PRESSED" ONTO HIM BY SINGER..ALTHOUGH I DID WANNA SEE ROUTH GET SUPER NERDY, THE WAY REEVES DID IT SO FAR REMOVED HIM IN EVERYONES MIND THAT HE COULD POSSIBLY BE SUPERMAN, THAT WAS THE GENIUS IN THE ROLE,SURE IT WAS A BIT OVER THE TOP, BUT USUALLY WHEN THE NERDY ANNOYING PEOPLE COME AROUND MOST TIMES YOU START IGNORING THEM, WICH IS THE GENIUS IN THE IDEA ITSELF, ROUTH DIDN'T GO FULL NERD..SORTA..BUT NOT REALLY

Weird composition in that pic. It's like they aren't sure who the main character is going to be. Is it face man or Hannibal? Also, the van is part of the character line up.

I have a feeling Sharlto Copley is going to play a more disturbed/actually ill Murdock than the wacky/funny Murdock from the show.

Jackson is going to fail in this movie. Obviously not alot of people here follow MMA. He is an asshole prick who has dropped out of two big headlining fights. He dropped out against the champ Lyoto Machida because he was scared. Then dropped out of his fight with Rashad Evans after shit talkin and saying how much he was going to destroy him, just to do the A-Team movie. If anyone watches The Ultimate Fighter reality show they would know just how much of a tool Rampage Jackson is. Not to mention after he lost against Forrest Griffen his drug/alcohol induced breakdown which ended up with him fleeing the police in a high speed chase after ramming into a pregnant ladies car.

I'm a little concerned that its under the FOX umbrella because I hate control freaks screw everything up. (I.E. Case and point-what they constantly always do to the Marvel movies and the likes of lets say Max Payne or Dragonball just to name a few of the many KCUF ups that they do)

However, I am once again elated to hear that The brothers SCOTT are producing it which hopefully we might see shades of Tony's high octane formula and feel on it.

And having Joe Carnahan as the director is a nice fit. If you haven't seen Narc, you need to. This cat has game.

But what sells me on this movie is the fact that Canal is apart of it and hasn't signed his creation away.

The cast is fitting-except for Jessica Beil. Call me crazy, but for some odd reason I've never liked her and I think that she is a only a sub par actress at best. She did nothing for Blade Trinity and overall I feel that she is overrated. Maybe its because she came from 7th Heaven. I don't know.

But I'll look past and accept this as it won't take away from my childhood on the big screen as long as A-Team is done with justice I will be happy.

And I look at it this way, because of this day and age and NOT the 80s, at least they'll be able to be allowed to hit the broadside of the barn for once. [frick]ing FCC in the 80s. Those bastards.

DDD
DDD - 10/24/2009, 11:19 AM
I like Jessica Biel but to have her as the General
who is always tracking down the A-team is just plain
stupid!

The original guy they had tracking them was
one tough Hombre and he was the perfect bastard to
play the A-team against! This Jessica idea is just
plain silly and incredulous to me! Oh well, she sure
is nice to look at! :D

@ teabag: Cuz he can't act, thats the problem. He is dumber than a box of rocks, can not articulate what so ever. Wait sounds like B.A. Baracus to a T, wait a Mr.T, pun intended ;)But no watch The Ultimate Fighter 10 all he sounds terrible, makes me very worried.

Gunsmith-
I was in no way raising doubt in Mr. Neeson's acting ability. He's definitely one of the best in the industry right now. I am just suggesting that he may not be right for the role. Take Lawrence Fishburne for example, he's one the best too! But in no way is he suited for Hannibal, though I know he'd act it out very well. Quite frankly, he's black. Hannibal's white. Such things I don't like when Hollywood changes character roles. I'm not a racist (a sad commentary of the times when I feel I have to qualify that), but BA shouldn't be changed from a black man to a white guy. Anyway, yes, Hannibal and Neeson are white, but there are nuances about both that may not be compatible. That's all I'm saying I guess. LOL
Phinehas
Phinehas - 10/24/2009, 1:31 PM
MidKnight35-
I don't know that Jackson's acting inexperience will matter here. I am in question of how well he'll do for the same reasons. But remember, Mr. T wasn't a trained actor either. What had he done prior to A Team? Rocky III and DC Cab. And those were tailor made for his public persona! No acting required except line-delivery.

Tea-
You're kidding right? I think what the show was the chronicling their training and cohabitations with other contending fighters. Much like the format of Stallone's "The Contender" I think. I don't know about it other than the commercials I've seen for it. But I know for sure that the actual competitions are legitimate fights.
